I've been called numerous times by these a@@holes even after telling them to take my number off their calling list and instead of trying to scam others get a real job and earn your money honestly!....The following message was advice from police re these scammers..... But if your phone rings and someone on the other end says, “Can you hear me?” this is your cue to not say anything and hang up.
It’s a phone scam that has made its way down to Australia after conning people in the U.S. and U.K. The scam works if the person on the receiving end of the call answers “yes” to the question, “Can you hear me?” At this point, the scammer will hang up, but they’ve already got what they need: a recording of your voice saying “yes.”
Scammers can then use the victims’ voices to authorise payments or infiltrate the victims’ bank accounts through voice recognition.
Police have already sent out warnings about the scam. Unfortunately, victims of the scam may not be able to dispute that they didn’t make certain transactions as their voices will be on record as authorising them.
Senior Constable Steve Smith of the Queensland Police Service said anyone who responds “yes” to this call should contact their banks immediately and start paying more attention to their accounts.

Caller reports to be from Why Pay More. Caller is an Indian Call Center scammer/telemarketing. They have a website that only has a PO box and no phone number.... Mostly only scammers will just list a PO box on a web site! No street address and no phone number = You can't found them after they rip you off.

Just got a call from this mob now, did not recognise the number and when I googled this scam page came up. I have tried to "block" these numbers in the past but they still call.
Another one that calls on our landline asks if you have had a car accident...I cannot remember, how many times I have told them "no" and that I will call the police next time they call...but they keep ringing..that particular call comes from an Indian call centre as you can hear them in the background..

Spam number, Asian caller. I've been so many times I've lost count.
Now I pick up my phone, ask who it is and then ask them to hang on while I get the owner of the phone I've had to pick for them. My record for this method of Spam callers is 6 minutes - that's 6 minutes they can't call another number so win! I just got another call 5 minutes ago and she was holding on for 3 minutes. Its absolute pleasure and I suggest everyone try this technique to put a stop to this nonsenses.
I did previously do the polite thing, ask them many many times, remove my number but each time without success.
