After the 1st call I received from this number I read up about it here and realised, like others, that I was logged onto My Heritage at the time. Before I had worked out how to block the number I was called the next time I was logged in so I phoned the 1800 listed on the My Heritage help page. The hours of operation are 17:00 to 007:00 so I didn't expect to talk with someone in Australia and the guy with an Indian sounding voice was nice and helpful. I asked how they had obtained my phone number and was told that it is something that is required when registering (and I'd obviously forgotten). I had looked at my account details and there was no phone number shown in that field but the operative could see it and said he has now deleted it. He said that he noted that I do not wish to be called with subscriptions offer or the like (but if the phone number is gone from my account they couldn't call anyway). I also asked him to send feedback that I feel that the details provided upon joining should be visible for account holders to change or delete and he said he would submit it to the appropriate person.

Yes, My Heritage calling, using a routing service so a Sydney number is displayed but they are overseas. Like others, within minutes of logging into the My Heritsgd website a call is received with all sorts of wonderful subscription offers. The real question is how did they get my private mobile number?

I was on MyHeritage website when they called telling me they could see I was logged in. They were trying to upgrade me to Premium Plus and when I declined their attitude changed from cordial to questioning my reasons for not upgrading. Very rude!
    Have now blocked their number.

Company call My Heritage, the greatest bunch of scammers based out of Israel, but pretend to be based in the USA.
NEVER give them your credit card number or subscribe to their services, they continue to bill your credit card

This number has called me 9 times since I first started my family tree on MyHeritage and it's only been 3 days, however, I've never answered since I dislike talking on the phone.
