Scam claiming to be ATO

This person rang me and left me a message on my home phone, claiming to be from the ATO - he was apparently dealing with MY fraud. I have actually rang him back several times today just to annoy him - I didn't speak, and several times he forgot to answer as the Australian Tax Department but just kept saying 'hello, hello (sigh), hello'. Now he knows how I feel constantly receiving nuisance calls. I recommend it - good therapy.

You missed a call from 6161283173593, who said "There's a legal lost been field on your name for tax evasion and tax fraud. I want you or your legal representative to get back to us." This message was provided by Telstra at no charge to you.

Yep got one yesterday from him! Needs some practice on his scamming skills as didn't sound believable at all! Will try your trick Sandra and annoy the u know what out of him!

These scum bags called my 90 year old dad for three days claiming to be from the ato that he has 47000 tax debt on his flat and he is going to go to jail
But they can fix it if he pays 9800 he is to go and withdraw cash and deposit to a cba Acc that they will give
