Left message purporting to be an Australian Taxation Office officer and noting that documents for a criminal case against me were submitted to the courts and to ring this number asap within a few hours if wanting to avoid prosecution.

This is the number left by a caller on my answering machine to tell me the ATO have a criminal case against me. Don't think so

three messages from this number on my machine. Says that I (doesn't name me) am facing criminal charges for tax fraud unless I call that number ASAP. SCAM.

Appalling. Someone saying they're from ATO head office saying that they have downloaded to the court tax fraud criminal proceedings against someone. They don't even say who and say that it is a serious issue that is time sensitive and so u should call this number. It would appear that it is a scam.

My elderly mother received the same message, threats on her answering machine. Scum bags.

also just received a scam message from this number. Supposedly from the ATO about to launch a court case against me.

Fake call from ATO Head Office, saying they have a criminal matter against my name, and I must call them back immediately to avoid proceedings commencing.
Called ATO direct to check and confirmed it was a fake call.
