Claim helpline person with indian accent phones to say someone in your home has had an accident in the last 6 months and was entitled to compensation. I went along with them and said i would need to call back with registration number they gave me this number

Have had this a few times, this time I told him " Yes, I had an accident, it was terrible, blood and guts everywhere, and I got killed, funeral was fantastic"
Then he hung up, I was very disappointed he didn't want to talk to me anymore.

Have had a few calls from this number and similar numbers, Indian accent claiming someone at my number has had a car accident in the last 3 months. I said no your a scammer and hung up I'm sick of it

June 2023 just got a call from this number but no message left …. I assume a scammer

No matter how many times they call and I tell them not so politely where to go they just keep calling.

They call my workplace every one to two months - on all extensions (100) in the business. Usually lasts about 15 to 20 mins then they move on.

I had the same call several weeks ago. I said "no - nobody's had an accident". He continued to ask - "is there someone else who is expecting an insurance claim" - I said "what insurance company" and he responded "NRMA". I told him we weren't insured by NRMA and he went away. I also have an unlisted number. I called the number back and someone picked it up and hung up immediately. Why can't Telstra track who is using this number and shut it down?

I got a phone call 2 days ago, same scenario. Was wise straight away but played along, the first one said will pass you on to my supervisor and he gave him the phone and started talking, I then said let me get a pen and paper and get there details and they hung up

Same caller as described in previous comments. Pay to have unlisted/private number and still receive these calls. Told them I was contacting police and they hung up. They have also phoned at 2.30am.

Just call a call from this number (someone with an Indian accent) from a company called Online Claim Services claiming to be located in Central Sydney. When I asked what street the company was located on, he just repeated "Central Sydney". Told him I work in the insurance industry and had never heard of his company. He asked if I had been in any accidents so he could help me claim compensation. This is the 3rd call similar to this I have received in the last 6-12 months.

My husband had a call from an Indian also claiming that someone at this number had had an accident to which my husband promptly replied "you're the person who's the accident" and hung up!!

I get these calls almost every day at the most inconvenient time. Life's just too short to put up with Indians

Got a call from Claim injury helpline wanted to know if Id had an accident in the last 2 years. Indian speaking man said he was given my number by my insurance company. He got angry when I wouldn't answer his question. I asked for his number and said I would call him back when I checked with my insurance company as I thought it was a scam. Surprise Surprise he hung up.

I'm on Do Not Call register and have a silent number and it makes no difference. They still continue to ring from time to time. Have been for well over a year now.

Indian voice representing "Insurance Advice Services" fishing that someone on this number had a car accident in recent months, when asked why he did not know if or not he hung up.

Had a call twice this week !! Same as the others with somebody on this number has had an accident, I called him an imbosile and hung up! So frustrating.

I had same incident and there is no reply

I am on "Do not call" register & still have had several calls from this number.

Same story as the other comments posted. Glad that it appears to be a scam
