I called back the number (02) 8199 2049 and reached vm that did not mention the company name

Classic Debt collectors.
Ask for your full name, if you dont confirm but request for their details first (who hthey are where they are from and what is this regarding) they refuse to give any details simply to try and confirm your identity and chase up old pissy debts that should have been forgotten about.

a private number called me asking about someone that i now from work was there (on my phone) and i asked how they got my number, and they said they googled it

She said her name was julia from (02) 8199 2049. i didnt tell them anything. Why would they be ringing my number for someone else that i know. They would not say anything more, when i questioned them... i think its a scam

Ron did you find out who they were? I just had a call too requesting information about someone I did business with. They were very cagey about who they were.

Thay will not tell me who thay are but are trying to be delicate information about my son who was killed at work almost two yrs ago
