I recieved three calls over 2 days from this place! The last one I answered and someone hung up. I called back the number and got a message giving their 1300 88 44 88 number, so I called that and got through to someone who explained that they run on an automatic dialler and its not actually someone hanging up, but just means no agents are available at the moment I answer. I asked how I got on their list, and they said from entering a survey, competition, or joining a new site and at the time I musn't have ticked the box saying I didn't wish to recieve marketing information. I did enter a competition recently so maybe that's it. I asked them to remove my number and they did that for me straight away. They mentioned it was regarding Funeral Insurance (which I was actually looking at recently anyway) and I ended up signing up because they offer a year free instead of having to pay straight away. If you keep getting calls from this company I would just get your number removed from their list.

They could at least speak when I answer the phone. Sick of people that just hang up, my time is precious..

I think we need to ban all telemarketing, Including charities.

I had to pay $173.96 twice every month when I told them NOT to deduct $173.96 from me, that is a lot of money ripping people off. SO NOT GOOD AT ALL.

This is Freedom Funeral Insurance.
If you have insurance with them and it's direct debited from a card that's no longer active (swallowed by ATM, replaced card etc) then expect some calls from this number.
I already have insurance with them so I can't offer any input about them cold calling people.

First the police can't get your history by ringing you! This company is freedom funeral insurance. They ring from several different numbers several times a day (up to 5 calls everyday) to a number that is connected to a galaxy tablet and not given out anyway. Block one number they use a different one. If I ignore them they wait for voice mail to begin and hang up filling up voice mail with a loud click each time they call. I don't enter contests etc and as i said the tablet number is never given out so how did they get this number? ! We recently cremated a family member so it's not appreciated either. Downloaded a call blocker hopefully that will stop the calls.

Police don't work like that. Your records are held with the phone company. Police don't have access to things like that. You are a littl paranoid.

This number rings me every day,I don't answer cos they ring very early in the mornings,the first time they rang it was 6.30am on a Sunday morning. Does anyone know how to get my name taken off their calling list?

I agree!! I've just had triple bypass & have been very ill so last thing my husband was these ppl calling re funeral services!! As most have said we asked to be removed from call list & all we got was prank calls where we answer & they say something stupid before hanging up. We need to have Government to come down on these ppl

this number has been calling for the last month do not answer and block it.

I am sick of this number calling, it rings about four times then stops, usually when i am in the middle of doing something. No-one answer if i call back just goes dead.

Why, when you tick the NO box, is it a green light to be bombarded? When you have a serious illness you DON'T want funeral insurance calls. I dont qualify anyway!

Caller asked for me and said offering bdtter insurance deal than i currently had....i don,t have insurance...no idea how they got my personal details either?...might be a scam. Nuisance
