Lady with an English accent from "MVA calling regarding an accident I've had within the last 12 months where my vehicle had to be taken away". I laughed as I'd had no accidents and told her it was a nice phishing scam she had going on there. Apparantly this made her really angry as she decided to launch into a tirade of "how she felt very sorry for me if I thought insurance companies gave their customers what they deserve" and how she'd "helped out x number of people today" and how sorry she was that this was my life. Couldn't respond to her because I was laughing too hard as I've never had a scammer go nuts like that before. Maybe the scamming business just ain't what it used to be lol.

English woman called from MAA asking about the accident I'd reported in the past 12 months. I informed her this wasn't possible since I'd lived overseas for the past 2 years and that I haven't given my personal Australian mobile out to any organization in 10 years and that it was a fraud. She replied to my calm voice by shouting Fraud and Mistake have different meanings in the dictionary.... so I gave her some other words to look up in the dictionary. The same organization Called 6 months ago and I notified them they were breach of the privacy act if they were legitimate.

I got a call from this number and the guy with an English cockney accent told me he's ringing about a "non-fault" motor vehicle accident within the last 12 months. I say he's kidding himself, that I haven't had a collision within the last ten years and to go f*ck himself and I hang up. The little slimebag rings back and carries on again. I start quizzing him...like what is the rego number of the car I was allegedly driving..he says he cannot release the information due to data protection concerns!! I again tell him to f*ck off and hang up. He rings again...I get my wife to get on the phone...he says that the guy to whom he was speaking to before (me!) must have Turette's syndrome as I couldn't stop swearing at him. My wife cracks up laughing and I talk to hm again...I quiz him on where he's calling from. He says Liverpool in Sydney and I say I don't even live in NSW and he says "we act on behalf of companies in all Australian capital territories"....aha! Got him!! I say that there's only one Australian capital territory, of which the capital is Canberra!! He then says words to the effect "I suppose I can then close this matter off then"..I say yes, you certainly can my friend! SCAM!!!

This same scammer rings every month from the MVA, if anyone has an idea of how I can get rid of this caller once and for all let me know. He just informed me after I said, I'm sick of you calling me you are a scammer, that he intends on calling me every day. This is harassment.

Just had several calls from this number, telling me I could get money from a Motor vehicle accident that I had had- ( I havent )
Told the person to F off, politely and I hung up - he called back, - spoke to my husband, he told my husband I had been rude to him, my husband then told him where to go - , and hung up, - they called back three times again after being hung up on ,and were arguing that we had had an accident - my husband then asked to speak to a superviser, who got on and asked us if we were satisfied with the service, - Hubby asked him for the registration number of the vehicle involved, of course they said they did not have it- and then said, dont you want to listen to us- hubby said no and hung up --

idiots !

Number now blocked, -
