Male caller with very strong accent (I asked him to repeat himself as I couldn't understand what he said). He asked if I was receiving nuisance calls on my landline - I said yes (his being a perfect example!) then he offered to register me on the Do Not Call register and needed to verify my details to do so (yeah right!). I told him I'm already on it and hung up.

Man with strong accent rang asking to verify details to place our number in a no nuisance call register. Yeh right. I said I was too busy and would call back. He was very demanding I verify details. I refused saying sounded like just another scam. He hung up. I rang back!!! Sat on hold and hung up!!!

Ditto above message. For three weeks they have been calling me between 4.00 pm and 5.30 pm. Pick up the telephone , there's silence for about 2 minutes, and then the person starts speaking in a demanding tone . What they are doing is stating that you need to give your Visa Card no to them, this is your account number for the Do Not Call Register .They stated a couple of years ago the $165.00 fee to keep you on this register did not get put onto your Bank Statement correctly , but this time it will show and you will be 'GUARANTEED' no nuisance calls will be received by you 'for the rest of your life'.....It's a scam ....hang up as soon as you detect the silence at the beginning!

Asian female called asking for Mrs Bxxxxx - when I said she wasn't here, caller just hung up! I called the number back and it went straight to a recorded message saying I was on hold for next available agent. I hung up after 5mins being on hold! Can't these nuisance ass hats be shut down????

Man with an Indian accent called asking if I was receiving nuisance calls - I said yes, right now. He claimed to be from an Australian call blocking department offering to add me for three years. When I asked him to repeat who he was he claimed to be Telstra and then rattled off the address of the building (obviously learned off by heart) as if to verify his answer. I asked him what buildings were across the street when he told me his employee ID number (which I never asked for). I told him I didn't believe he was from Telstra or that he was in Australia and he kept insisting he was. I've since looked up on the Telstra website that this is a common scam - "Calls offering to place a number on the Do Not Call Register for a fee" - that's what he was doing.
