Caller: Accidental claims

Someone called me today (20/02/2019) at 2:45pm stating that they were calling me today from accidental claims, calling in relation to an accident I had been in. Because I have heard of this scam before I advised them I was aware it was a scam call and to not bother me again. The male hung up immediately. He sounded to be mid 20's and an Indian or middle eastern accent.

Got a call on my mobile phone on 13/02/2019. I happened to be talking to a legitimate Telstra call centre lady representative at the time, on a landline. The Telstra lady checked this phone number and confirmed to me that it was not a legitimate phone number. This number was probably generated by a computer. Be aware that this number may be used by scammers.

A male with indian sounding accent, claiming to be from an insurance company, I literally asked " Isn't this that scam going around? He boldly denied it and ploughed on saying he was from Smash something or other and saying my number was listed as being involved in a car accident in the last 2 years and asking if that's true, I asked why would you have this number-it's a business number and he repeated me and suddenly hung up.

Caller: Car accidental personal claims

No 1 - Getting back at the scammers - Received 2 of theses calls before so decided to get them back when they next rang but it was about 3 months later but I was ready - ok so they rang and asked if I had been in an accident and did his little spill trying to wind me into his scam. I replyed “YES oh yes, I have Im so glad that you have called”. He said “Great and he was sure he could help me”. Then before he could use any more of his lines and wheel me into his scam I said the following. I said -“ I have been waiting for your call as IM STUCK in hospital with a broken leg, a broken arm, a broken back and I’m mute”. Mind you i said this in a very enthusiastic voice. There was a long silence and during that time I heard him typing on his computer - probably Looking Up the word - mute.
Then next thing I heard was beep beep ohhhh nooo he hung up on me. I really needed his help. Nope hahahah. Happy to say have not had that one again.
Ps- This post is not attended to offend anyone who has any special needs and disabilities.

An Indian woman rang from this number stating it was an accident claims company and they were calling me about an accident I had been in.
I queried who she was and why she was calling as I hadnt made any such claim, she hung up on me.

Same comments as above. Male voice with what seemed like an Indian accent.
Asked whether someone on my mobile number was involved in a motor vehicle accident in the last few years. When I said no they hung up.

Missed call. Tried calling back + it rang out, no answering message at all. I then put the number in here + confirmed it was probably a scam. My phone number is also still current on the Do Not Call register.
