we got a call today, suspicious straight away as it was Indian type accent and sounded like from a call centre, we've never been offered compensation for a no fault accident without personal injury. Anyone wanting to give you money sounds too good to be true and not to be believed.

Indian Paki sh*theads rang up about some car accident insurance crap. When I told him I want a million dollars he said SORRY in a high pitched Indian tone. I said sorry back to him the same way three times to which he said..bloody idiot. Why do we as Australians have to tolerate these Indian sh*t face morons.

The Telstra Guardian is a good option but does require you to have call number display enabled. This is an additional paid service from Telstra.

These people have rung my landline the same time everyday 3.30pm, it bloody sh*ts me as I am a shift worker, this time I picked up and didn't speak they hung up

Several phone calls to my mobile over many months this year from (02) 8091 4668 regarding an car accident. Most recently this morning. I hung up and then rang back and once again I told them I had not had a car accident, recently or in the past two years and would be reporting them to the police as they are fraudulent. Voice of person on phone has what I describe as an accent sounding like indian / pakistan. During previous calls when I asked where it happened, when it happened, who was involved and why they are calling now .... they hung up. Very annoying

If you want to block nuisance calls like this one, you now have the option of buying a phone from a Telstra Shop that can do this, it is called the Telstra Guardian 301. The phone is well worth the investment. Numbers you block will hear the following message; “calls to this number are being monitored by Telstra Guardian; the person you are trying to contact is not accepting your calls, so please hang up”. Callers you place in your contacts list will get through as usual but anyone with a private or withheld number or a number that is not in your contacts list will hear this message; “calls to this number are being monitored by Telstra Guardian; please state your name and then press # and we will connect your call”. You will then have the option of either accepting or rejecting the call.

Other devices such as Fritz!Box modem router also have call blocking features.

Told the scammer (overseas call centre- Indian/Pakistani accent) off that his number will be reporting to police, he hung up immediately. Tried to annoy the scammer by calling his number numerous times......ring...ring.... too scared to pick up!!

I have and answering machine and he hangs up, he's called 3 times so far. Your numbers match mine except for one, I don't have the (02)8006457, instead I have one that's (02) 8006 9645.

Scam, block this number on your phone

Called our business number. Said from Sydney Claims Lawyers. Asked to speak to someone who had had an accident. I asked who, they said they had information about an accident from the transport authorities. I asked if I could call them back and they gave me (02) 8091 4668.

same thing happened today on both our phones even our silent number which is a worry. Claiming that we had a car accident..wouldnt say anymore
