I have left a few nasty voice-mail messages at this number to get them to stop calling me but they keep calling. The thing I am most peeved about is that they call and hang up so probably getting paid per call-out but not raising anything for the charity! DODGEY!

You can add these numbers to a reject list on your phone. On my Samsung I select the number from the call register select the menu and the option to 'add to reject list'. I've got quite a few on my list.

Called them back and got Altour Solutions Charities/Fundraising department for several charities around Australia.

They state that not-for-profit organisations are exempt from the DNC registers but according to several sites only 'registered charities' are exempt and can make unsolicited calls:

2. Will registering my number stop all telemarketing calls and marketing faxes?

No, registration won't stop all calls and faxes. Some public interest organisations (e.g. registered charities, political parties and educational institutions) can still call numbers listed on the register. This ensures these organisations can continue to provide valuable services to the community.

Making unsolicited calls
Only registered charities can contact numbers listed on the Do Not Call Register.

I rang this number and it came as Altour Solutions? It's a fundraising dept and its registered for Charities and is apparently "exempt" from the DNC Registers....it's blocked now
