DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING WITH THIS COMPANY! They will convince you that they are giving you are great deal on the order for toner.. the toner is NOT genuine and causes printer errors. They will then continue to send you toner that you DID NOT order then say they had a verbal contract with the receptionist! What a joke! No return address on anything!! We will NOT be paying for an order we did not place and they can come and get it! Have put in a complaint with the ACCC, scamwatch website, Fair Trading and will be also complaining to our Ombudsman. SCAMMERS! DO NOT HAVE ANY CONTACT WITH ENVIROSENSE CONSUMABLES.

As one who has also had some exposure to Envirosense in my working life; I felt it helpful to (quickly) respond to both their defender, as well as to add to the valid commentary of complainants in this forum.

Firstly, a comment from their defender:

“However, I'd like to point out that we never send or invoice for goods unless the customer explicitly agrees to the pricing.”

Fair statement…but a half-truth when the means of gaining “agreement” are explored. The MO is simple:

1) Locate a vulnerable person (in our case, it was a kind-hearted receptionist that any decent person would show kindness to – not exploit).
2) Using dismissive/ rude phone behavior, force said vulnerable person into thinking there is an open order or set contract for copious quantities of product, requesting an email address.
3) When email address is supplied by said vulnerable person, send them the order and ask for a response. When they don’t respond, keep calling – even from a number traceable to “Biosense” – and push them to respond.
4) Rule of life: some choose the path of least resistance and don’t wish to fight. Said vulnerable person eventually caves to the pressure and responds in “agreement.”
5) Having gained “agreement,” reprehensible business owner pushes the go button and sends the veritable stockpile of product (price *questionable*) and paper-trails the customer with invoices.

Sugar-coating stripped off, this is no different to the aggressive ATO poser, who demands instant payment of an alleged debt. Sadly, some are vulnerable, and even sadder, people exist who use them up.

To finish my thoughts, here is a useful link that the owner of Envirosense may wish to look up:

This company called me from a private number (in contravention of industry guidelines), and when I told them I wasn't interested and to remove my number from their list, they started abusing me. When I hung up on them, they called back several more times, abusing me every time I answered the phone. They also left a voicemail vilifying me for my country of origin. They continue to call - all from private numbers, and all abusive. I've now reported them to the ACCC, Fair Trading, and Do Not Call Register (as they're calling from a private number), providing them with detailed notes and a recording of the abusive voicemail.

Spam phone call that sounded suspicious from the outset. I told them to take me off the bloody list, and she told me, "YOU need to take yourself off the list with Yellow Pages". I hung up on her, and she called back repeatedly, harrassing me. Don't do business with these scammers.

I ordered the inks and couldn't remove the plastic film covering the hole. They advised me to insert it anyway and pierce a hole through it and straightaway the printing was adversely affected. I removed it immediately and went back to using the printer brand ink but the printing was still affected. I called them and told them that they had damaged my printer and I wanted to return the inks. They have told me I have to pay for registered mail to return a faulty product.

I have had similar experiences with this company. Accepted 1 off order and since then I have had regular phone calls telling me my next order is coming. When I tell them that I didn't order anymore, I am told that I agreed to a on-going order price. Rubbish!! Last caller who would not take "No" for an answer. Told them, that if they send any more cartridges, that I would not be paying for them and that I would not waste my time to return them.

Yes fed up with them too. Try to keep sending "as part of the contract". Which contract? Asked for a copy signed by relevant decision makers but no response. DO NOT ORDER and REFUSE future supplies.

Hello anonymous,

It's a shame you did not enjoy your experience dealing with Envirosense. However, I'd like to point out that we never send or invoice for goods unless the customer explicitly agrees to the pricing. We endeavor to be competitive on our pricing where possible, and I would think if you agreed to purchase them at the price quoted to you then you would have thought the price was attractive at the point of sale. As for the terms and conditions of sale, they are forwarded to you via email within 24 hours of placing a sale, and they are in compliance with the guidelines set out by Fair Trading. I'd love to handle your query further, if you'd like to let me know who you are and what company you represent, I can call you and explain the terms a bit better for you.

Caller: no contact name on any of the paper work HOW CONVENIENT

Do not ever ever ever get involved with this rip off mob. The cost of the ink is just ludicrous and is no better than any other supplier nor does it last any longer as told it would
they will suck you in talk the talk and rip you off who would pay for $479.60 for 4 ink cartridges.
BEWARE PEOPLE THERE WILL BE NO MORE INK COMING YOUR WAY

Not surprised to see these commments. I too have been victim of this dodgy company. Fell for them and ordered and received and paid for I black colour. Then a few months later another call. Said I didn’t need any. Received parcel and account via email. Charged for 2 if each. Made 3 calls. Promised that my calls would be returned. Didn’t happen so sent them back unopened via registered post. Had call last week for tracking no which I supplied. They are now saying they haven’t received them. BEWARE.

Beware of these guys. They will bully you until you commit to buy their products, and then send you unwarranted letters threatening further action if your account isn't paid in a number of days prior to the agreed due date listed on the invoice. Absolutely unethical scammers with no conscience whatsoever.

With a doubt the worst company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. SUPER pushy sales people, then inept account ‘managers’ that have no clue what’s going on with their clients accounts. They cannot get one thing right in a simple transaction. Should have known from the start that they were dodgy. Avoid at all costs!

They scammed my mother into agreeing for "free samples" and then sent an invoice. No contract no credit card information taken just a verbal agreement. They have now contacted debit collectors even though we returned the products. Further more your products aren't even genuine, the printers show an error.

Hi Ian

I am the accounts receivable manager at Envirosense Consumables.

We have a complete website: www.envirosenseconsumables.com.au. You can find a full list of our Terms & Conditions of trade

We have supplied the address to send them back to but have not received the product and you are choosing not to discuss the matter with us. The “nuisance follow up calls” are being made to inquire into the location of the delivery and whether you have tracking to verify where they have gone. The invoice will remain active and we will still attempt to contact you until the goods are received back.

Kindest Regards

Benjamin Pedersen

Envirosense Consumables Pt. Dodgy over the phone sellers of overpriced print toner. No web site to verify products or terms and conditions and nuisance follow up calls from the accounts receivable Benjamin Pedersen after I had returned the goods. Is this a phoenix "business" that keeps changing it's name? https://www.dropbox.com/s/ohqzmmpsl9ya28f/atwell-13.doc
