Autocall advising pension rates have increased. Not sure if genuine so didn't press the 1 or 2 option

Recorded call pretending to be from the Government advising my pension had been increased, and wanting me to press a number to speak to operator. My brother also received a call from this number the same day as he got a letter from Centrelink advising that his pension had actually been reduced. Definitely a scam

Centrelink... unlikely. Report this to the authorities if contacted.

scam, number given to me from another scam saying they are centrelink (03) 8056 7455. I knew was a scam so asked for a number to call them back, they gave me (02) 8324 6528. I rang this wanted to know all my details but wouldn't tell me who they were. When I said it was a scam got really aggressive.

Centrelink will send letters or request to see you in person.
