Yes optus does use this number but the scamming rats call from a service that changes the calling number. Much like the app message x.... ASK THEM QUESTIONS Just DONT ANSWER THEIRS.

This number it’s definitely a scammer they tried to call today and I didn’t answer so I searched the number And I heard old is comment at Optus Optus Optus anyway I thought it might be Optus but why would Optus call me if I do not have a account with them??? So it’s a scammer Anyhow they get your numbers from somewhere else and they try to sell you a bullsh*t It’s not about information because this people they already got your details Anyhow there send me a message On my mobile confirmation for technical appointment which is I have no nbn Account with Optus Whatsoever.

I havent had a phone or service with Optus in over 10 years... there should be NO reason for a legitimate call from them, hence I am led to believe this is not Optus

When I answered this call this morning, they hung up. And no message was left. Obvious warning signs. My phone says it's Optus Tech Support. However, I've recently been contacted by the legit Optus Tech Support and this was a different number. Scam.

Caller: Someone pretending to be Optus

I have been getting calls on my mobile every few days for a couple of weeks now. I don't answer it, but each time a text message is sent. The latest: "Hi Optus tried calling you for Billing update but were unable to reach you. We will contact you on 21/1/2019. Optus, Nikhilesh"

I don't have an account with Optus or any Optus-associated provider, so there is no 'Billing update' to be discussed. Obviously a scam. Any way to track these parasites down and pay them a visit?

Called me I never answered. The. They called my partner who is under my name on my plan. He said he knows nothen about it they called me back I answered he say he was calling me about my customer complaint I made this morning about something and wanted my customers number. I said I haven’t called and he kept going on about it and I said are you not listening I haven’t called as I haven’t had a issue. He said sh*t and hung up.
