apparently amnesty international after donations?

Yep, Gigi. Same here. Had them bother me before, and eventually(much, much googling) got through to an employee based in Surrey Hills who took me off the list, or so I thought until today. The first time around they'd apparently got my number from the Red Cross, who I donate to. If this is the same I'm done donating to the Red Cross. Very unethical behaviour...

After reading the comments here I blocked this. I hate it how people calling me trying to get more money out of me as a reward for having given money to a good cause in the past. It's not rewarding, it's invasive harassment and it makes me want to never donate money again. Go away.

Amnesty International. I think they are fundraising.

Everyone here is grossly misinformed.

Amnesty will generally NOT call you for donations of any variety unless you have explicitly agreed to donate to the NFP charity yourself or gone online and done it.

They likely have your number from a petition signing for a human rights campaign and wish to contact you to either verify some details or brief you on other campaigns.

Had no less than 3 calls my mobile has logged, all of which I refused to answer. Annoying as to how they got my number?

I stated that although I support Amnesty privately that I do not take unsolicited phone requests.
Very rude response ‘Well what do you own a phone for?’.
Charities need a hard look at how they raise money..

Picked up the call and the guy doesn't introduce himself but proceeds to casually ask me what I've been up to?! He keeps trying to make small talk with me and I interrupt him to ask him who he is and what the nature of the call is. He starts his long winded spiel about some charity and I tell him I'm busy and he says he'll call me back later tonight. Never mind the fact that it's already an unsolicited after-hours call. I asked to be removed from the calling list.

Have got 7 missed calls from this week, think they are asking for money. Will NOT be calling them back at all!

Some sort of scammer that constantly rings then hangs up when you answer.

Same story as previous posts. I simply don't answer numbers like this one. If someone wishes to connect, they will leave a message.

Whoever this is rings everyday and doesn't leave a message. I think it's a charity telemarketer but how do I get them to stop?

2evolve, looks like a fundraising company, so probably they've outsourced to a charity to ask for money. I don't know how they got my number and they won't leave a message. When you call back, you get a voicemail every time.
