Scam - message on my phone stated from ATO and for me or my Attorney to call back on (02) 6152 8690.

These clowns leave a recorded message saying they are from the A.T.O. and that you are being investigated for fraud and tax evasion and that you need to call this number today or an arrest warrant will be issued. I have been calling them back and pranking them... They seem to get upset and hang up on me!

Same message again with (02) 6064 2026 this time.

"John Matthews" is non other than John Eastlake aka [ present legal name] John Roque, a long time fraudster arrived back in Australia from Rio De Janeiro where he was running other frauds for many years and had a nightclub [ went bust] . He is currently located in North Sydney ,living on the proceeds of his many life long crimes. Even drives a new Bentley , currently estranged from his Brazilian wife , Anna Paula Roque [ ex carnival queen] who lives not too far from him with their "son" who attends local schools.

I also received a call today from a Kenneth Mathews claiming he is a representative from the ATO threatening me with tax avoidance/evasion and telling me that I should call him back asap on (02) 8310 6976 and also in a threatening manner to not ignore calling him back, of which I didn't of course. guess it's that time of the year for scammers to start preying on the weak and vulnerable. these nut jobs are the absolute scums of the earth!!!

mine is a different no (02) 8310 4113..... same sh*t different smell...bloody hell this happened to me scared the hell out of me especially as they claimed that i would be imprisoned etc. Well i first realised it was a scam as my name they called me by is not the name registered on my tax documents. I am called by my third name. I played along with it and they gave me an ultimatum, made me promise not to reveal to anyone and that this Kevin Jones Tax accountant would give me choices. I would need to put $5126 into a nominated account in order to write out my debt. I kept playing along, acting terrified, saying nothing like this has ever happened to me and please do not confiscate my passport and possessions. Well he duly rang this morning to give me the number but kept me hanging on for 10 mins - ok he's back on the line going to give me the account no. he is going to get a big shock when he gets $1 deposited. but then i will have the account no. and hopefully it is linked to some money laundering intot he country and the bastards can be caught

Got same call from Kenneth Matthews asking to call them for tax evasion and fraud. Number is (02) 6698 4026. Sounded Filipino accent.

Oh thank god. Got home from work and message on phone exactly the same! Luckily thought of google and yay now I can sleep tonight without wondering what on earth I had done wrong.

I enjoy free entertainment! Recently at 9:30 pm on a Sunday evening I received a call from a scammer purporting to represent the Police and requesting a donation for the purpose of supporting homeless boys! I made sympathetic noises, asked lots of questions, and kept him on the phone for as long as possible, and asked if he would like $500 cash or my credit card number, and while he was thinking it over I asked " do you intend spending the money on booze or drugs? ". He hung up.

Got a message today from Kenith Mathews recorded message (02) 6064 2023 tax outstanding what a load of sh*t!

yeah another Kenneth Matthews call from (02) 6064 2023. as if the ato would contact you with a recorded message by phone. Did not even try to identify me or my name so who it could have been a 8 year old answering to receive the message!.
I doubt ato would be that rude as well - the unprofessionalism was also another give away.

Yep got a call from Kenneth Matthews today. Told me I going to be arrested for Tax evasion and to call him back on (02) 8317 3182 rang back. I asked for a butter chicken and lamb rogan josh and he hung up😀
Reported it to ATO scam watch.

Yes also targeting businesses same message they are nothing but scum bags that want to put fear into people collect thier money and live the work free lifestyle. Dont give them anything please.
