These people have been calling my wife and myself several times a week. A woman who gave her name as Janet Goms (or Gomf) gave me the number, and stated the company address as 20 George St Hornsby. Both people to whoim I spoke stated, when specifically asked, that they are part of Microsoft. Sounds very suspicious.

Got two similar calls today. First from man with Indian acceent said he was from Microsoft and was calling about virus's on my Pc. Went along with requests & continued to ask questions & interfer with conversation with questions which he didn't like. He then put me on to a female, Senior Tech officer. She repeated everything the man said. In the end I hung up, didn't want to play anymore. 5 minutes later they rang again, told them this call was crap, they quoted phone no: (02) 8011 3225. we hung up.

Same scam as above - sounded legit because they correctly identified my customer license number. I got suspicious when asked to connect to their technician via an online log in box. I the called Microsoft and found out it was a scam

I received a telephone.call from what sounded like an Indian source claiming to be Microsoft. They said they were contacting me because of the large number of problem reports being sent to Microsoft by my computer. (This was news to me?) I was not online at the time but the caller was able to correctly identify the customer ID on my Windows software. He started to lead me through a procedure which would have given him remote access to my computer. I baulked at this - at which point he said 'no problem' he would arrange for an engineer to call to fix the problem. I expected to hear no more but a few days later I received a call from another (maybe the same?) Indian who gave his phone number as (02) 8011 3225. He said his address was 20 Quin St, London EC4R 2BB. He sought remote access but when this was refused he put the phone down.

Phone call from an Indian man, saying that he was from Windows help desk & they had found problems with my computer - a 'polymorphic virus', which can not be picked up by normal security systems. Got me to look through my computer & found a heap of errors & warnings - said my computer was about to crash.
Tried to verify company - he had a website that looked ok, but the phone no he gave me was not connected.
Said his name was Daniel Davey... remote technician said Daniel Rogers...
Luckily found this site, and ended the call!

Got the same deal as reported above, same phone number, Indian accent talking about viruses on 'my computer'.  I asked which computer he was talking about and he replied each time with increasing volume and irritability 'YOUR computer'.  On asking for their organisation name he reported 'windows operating system help and support organisation'.  Clearly a scam.

My husband just received a call from this number claiming they were from Microsoft and wanting to fix issues we had with our computer.  The person was asian sounding and claimed to work for Tom Parker.  When calling back the call was answered by a young asian lady.  My husband asked to speak to Tom Parker and she said she would transfer him through.  As she was doing this, my husband heard her saying to someone in the background, 'you're Tom Parker, right'.  My husband then hung up.

It was the typical indian gent who hung up when I said I will check the number with police first and then call to see what the problem is he is referring to.
