calling our business line at least once a minute - makes me look busy but I actually do have other stuff to do - they are just handing up once I answer

They are still at it. Had a call on the land line today, but not home to take the call..
With all these scams, why can't the authorities do something about it. They obviously pay their phone bill so the telco is not going to shut the number down..

Yet another Indian scammer, 'Dillon', claiming to be from Vehicle Accident Investigation ..... "Dillon you're a criminal scammer, get lost you creep!". Don't get sucked in to this scam or the other common one claiming to be from the Australian Taxation Office.

I have a silent number and my husband answered and they hung up but I see it is already a known scam number and I have reported it to Telstra.

Insurance scam. They want your details. JUST HANG UP!

Totally Annoying......After I hung up they proceeded to call back numerous times to hassle me Again

They are at it again today 280717. came as a missed call to land line that is on the DO NOT CALL REGISTER anyway. I have said that to some of them at times. Thye usually hang up pretty good but wondering how they are still calling???

'Dominique' called this afternoon advising he was from the Accident Investigation Department regarding an accident I had been involved in the last 'year or so'. extremely vague. He told me it was a government department but when pressed for information couldn't give me anything except to say that a lady was hurt in the accident and she wasn't at fault and hence she wanted money from me.

I laughed at him and told him he needed to supply some sort of information regarding the accident and he said thank you and hung up.

Accident compensation, so obvious a scam. I have call trace activated so reported this back to Telstra and scamwatch 26/7/2017. if months go past and this persists from this same number do we contact the telecommunications ombudsman or who?

We have our phone hooked up through our fax, the phone rings 4 times then the fax takes over. It's the best way to screen calls. Caller ID assists us to look up reverseaustralia & see which scammers we've avoided.

Interesting that I had a number (02) 8006 9319 listed already then this phone call from (02) 8006 9329 appeared.
I list in my phone book as DNA (do not answer) so never know who it is from. In the past it was from the accident claim scam!

Insurance scam asking for details on accidents that occurred at the landline they called. Sounded like an Indian female. Kept asking for names & cars which were in accidents. I took their number & name & said if anyone had an accident if the household they would call back.The name they gave was Elene on (02) 4017 0360 - same scam for this number too!

Phone numbers are supplied to the federal government, yet we hear no action taken. WHY!

Yes it is annoying. I never answer any call on my landline or mobile whose number I don't recognise. Never ever ring back.

Car accident scam. Do not give any details and ask for your number to be removed.

I had a call from this number -Accident claims department.
I told her this was the condom puncture repair service and we don't have accidents...
She hung up.

call from (02) 8006 9329 , very soft line, something about having an accident recently... hung up immediately

First call from this number with a heavy indian accent.
Then 10 minutes later an english woman from (08) 6244 3859.
Scum of the earth........

Accident scam..... Told them sorry havent got any for sale at the monent, try someone else.
