Called about a car accident I had 9 months ago regarding compensation for me ... did not sound legit at all, had no details of the accident (otherwise he wouldn't be offering me compensation) he just passed the phone over to his 'colleague' halfway through, and hung up on me after a bit of me questioning who they were.
I couldn't understand a lot though due to the strong accent (Indian I believe)

Same as everyone else and they said I had been involved in an accident which wasn't my fault and that I was owed $14,000 in an unclaimed compensation.
The person who called was Indian as I'm very aware of accents and good at getting them right.

Which sane company tried to call someone approximately 6 (SIX) times within a couple of hours?!? Even if they have a good product to offer, I would refuse to deal with such company!! The call is very intense as well, one after another when you don't pick up. What a bunch of f@#kwit!!! Soon you see this number, I suggested you to block it off straight away!

Had a call today from these guys, called them back. They called me on a number which no one has as its only just been activated. The only place it is on a gumtree ad and they used my name that was on the ad. So that is where the info is coming from.

someone should shut them down.

Called me - he had my full name and address and claimed that I'd been in an accident and that I owned a Commodore. Nah. Scam central. I called the number back asking for their web address. The Indian man hung up. I called back asking for their web address advising that I was a freelance journalist and that I was due to start tracking him down. He told me to go f*ck myself. He became quite upset when I suggested he was a muslim of derogatory nature and that really got him going. I hung up. Bahahahahaha

Claimed to be from road traffic accident group or similar, calling about an accident that he said I had been in. Then when I asked about their address details told me he is married and is disturbed by me asking for his address.

As previously stated, Indian people claiming you had an accident and trying to get your details. Just go along with it for a laugh. Then block the number once you are hung up on.

As above - they are Indian callers and unsolicited calls. HANG UP and BLOCK them immediately!!!! This is a SCAM number. They are calling to obtain private information stating they are calling about an accident I had - only problem is I have never had an accident. When I asked for details they hung up. They are trying to obtain your personal details

The asked me about an accident I didn't have, I played along cause I knew they were trying to scam me. Shortly after we were discussing the imaginary accident and I made the mistake of telling them I had a lawyer and they hung up almost instantly.

Same as the other two comments so far. An indian speaker. First, they didn't addressed me with my real name. They called about a car accident that they don't actually know. When I asked them they should know when was my accident and they said of course they know about it and they need me to tell them when was it in order to get the claim. I got hung up after I told them an estimated year. Definitely a scam.

Claimed to be from Road Traffic Management in Sydney, calling about a minor car accident I, or someone in my family was involved in last year. Interesting, we never had an accident. I continued to ask questions and alerted them to the fact we are on the Do Not Call Register, and the callers conclusion was that I was wasting her time.
