It was an 'emergency call from 'Telstra' trying to give me a new IP address to stop overseas hackers getting into my current IP address, because they had noted so much overseas activity on my account. Gave me this number after much arguing that I would need to call him back, and I couldn't give him any information without authority. (I was trying to get as much info out of him as I could). Assured me that this was the Senior managers number, and even gave me Telstra's sydney address! I know its not politically correct, but I didn't find it convincing that he sounded like he was ringing from india, but was trying to save me from overseas hackers.....

Loreen called up saying from Telstra that my internet will be terminated for 3 months as of tomorrow. I told her I’m with Optus she says yes but we own all lines. Asked her for ID number which she slowly made up. Told her where can I call her back she gave me this 80058615 number. I called this number from my mobile while talking to her on landline. Told her why aren’t you picking up she says oh hold on . I starting getting sus she says ok call now. I hung up looked this number up and here I am a scam

The caller insisted we have or will have a problem with our internet connection. He offered to come to my house, this offer was not taken up. Unfortunately inexperienced or older persons could get sucked in.

Apparently our internet will be cut off in 2 days.
