Told me they were ATO and requested my bank account details to refund me.

Just had the same voicemail left asking for me or my lawyer to call or else police would be at my front door lol

They have called me several times from different numbers calming they are from ATO that i have to pay $5000
completely a scam

Received a call from this number. Was busy so let it go to voice mail.
Electronic sounding voice with American accent asking me to ring an overseas number back which I refused. Number is now blocked.

They called me today. I said that, in fact, I owe the ATO about $5000. Asked for their bank details. The guy hung up.

confirm my name and address to ‘look me up on the system to see why they were calling’ Gave my name and street but not the number then he put me on hold. In the meantime I googled the number and found all of this. Then he hung up! I hope he cannot get anything of mine from that. So silly of me to give out my name. Baby brain will do that to you.

After he told me that I had a tax refund I told him that I wanted to make his mother bark like a dog - he then started gibbering in a different language and hung up.

Recorded message in very bad accent claimed was from Tax Department. Blocked the number.

I got a phone call from this number back a few months ago, but I didn't answer the call. Later when I checked this number, found out it's a scam.
Today, I did call the ATO in regards to a minor question (NOT even an issue), and ATO has already answered me. Nothing else for me and ATO to contact each other further, because really it was only a simple question, I probably didn't even need to call them. Around 2 hrs later, I got a missed call from this number, so I called them back. The girl who picked up the phone (age between 25 - 35?), her English was almost perfect, accent sounded a little British or European. She said she doesn't know who called me, and in order for her to know why ATO has called, she needs to identify me. I gave her my full name and postcode as requested, so that she can look up the reason for my missed call. She automatically gave me her full name and worker's id number. Then started saying she found what it's about, that I'm under an investigation, she will have to start recording my voice and answers, and let me know that I might be requested to attend court for this matter. Then I told her that I have to stop here, I told her I cannot continue the conversation further, I'm so sorry I have to end this conversation.
I immediately called ATO and the police to report this matter!!! Scammers are losers and always will!!

An ATO scam

Claimed to be from the ATO. Wanted to deposit a $1600 refund in my bank if I gave him details. So I asked where the office is he was located in? Canberra he said. Ok what's the address I said lol no answer and some rubbish about how he was only trying to help. So I said ok what's the weather in Canberra? Again no answer more rubbish from him. So I said well you must have my TFN then what is it? Sorry sir that information is locked away. Give me a supervisor I said, surprise surprise he too was Indian go figure? How much do you want to deposit I said further leading him on $1800 he said. So I said well put me on to your supervisor because every time I ask for a supervisor the amount goes up lol... But the worst of it is I rang the ATO straight after the scam... They said that I would have to call back later. So the ATO doesn't give a rats rear, that's disgusting Malcolm's Lineral party, pensioners are being scammed and they won't answer.

I got an automated voice message asking me to ring back the number or else risk having the cops turn up at my place of employment! Have added the number to my auto-reject list now.

Caller claiming to be from the ATO and asked for my Visa or Credit Card Details. Indian voice. He wasn't very good at what he did as he answered the phone as if I had called him...

Voicemail left telling me if I don't call back the police will turn up at my workplace.
Very heavy accent claiming something to do with ATO however my taxes are all up to date.

Do not give out you bank details. It is a scam. They call me and said they are the tax office. The guy the said he needs to give me a refund and needs my credit card. I said no however I would like to pick up my refund in cash so that I don't have to declare it. Hahaha he called me a mother F..... and hung up....

I received the same call just now. Indian accent is my best guess.
