Reachtel research-automated survey as they're too lazy/poor/stupid/full of **** that they don't even have a person calling. Do they really think that they will get meaningful results for their survey. Idiots.

Go to their website,,ReachTEL.com.au scroll to bottom of the page, click on FAQ,there you will find a form to take your number off their calling list.Hope that helps.

Second one this week...right on 6pm. They get away with it because research and survey providers are exempt under the scope of the ACMA do not call register. If we all banded together, maybe a united voice could get these types of calls made illegal?

As with many other comments, they called at meal time with an automated message about a survey. Hung up immediately. So much for the "Do not call register".

They rang at 6:10 pm (dinner time) and it was an automated voice telling me it was for 'water maintenance survey'
Blah..they would never listen to my opinions anyway so I didn't listen to them!

It's a computer operated survey by a company called Reachtel Research. I only did it today because it was about the current state of Australian politics (with Julia being given the boot last night).

Got a call from (02) 8004 3511 bang on 6pm, so I must have been top of the list of the DO NOT CALL registered persons. The fact that DO NOT CALL registered people have already acted in this matter, by registering their numbers, means that they are the most likley to hang up when they do receive a telemarketer call, and yet the call centres do not seem to have an idea about how this wastes their money and staff time with no prospects of any results. I mean how stupid can you get ???

Got a call right on 6pm as I was running out the door. Came back later to check my messages, but nothing was left. This site proved that my intuition not to return a nd answer was validated.

Same as Janene earlier in this thread. Was an automated "would you like to take part in a survey?". I hung up as they called at teatime.

Do Not Call Register Complaint

""It appears from your complaint that the call you received may not fall within the definition of a telemarketing call. If you believe the call did have a commercial marketing element and would meet the definition of a telemarketing call, please recontact us and we will forward your complaint to the Australian Communications and Media Authority (the ACMA)""

Can you believe that?? What else can you do?
