'Seniors health' scam

Caller: Bloke saying he rep’d a seniors welfare centre

He asked about my health, age etc but I could smell “rat” immediately so queried his knowledge of my locality which he had previously mentioned. As expected, he knew less than nothing and said “their team had been in my area”. What absolute b*llsh*t.! Not just another scammer, but one preying on the elderly. Hope he and his like rot in hell.

Claimed to be from "My Health Care"... got evasive when I asked whether they were a Govt organisation. Obviously liars and crooks.

Flagged as "overseas" number. Foreign woman claiming to be "Rebecca Johnson"- which made me laugh! Something to do with senior citizens, but I told her I'm aware she is a fraud and hung up. Grrrr

Said he was from My Health Care. I told him not interested.

Some guy saying he was from Seniors Wellness doing a survey in Western Australia, asked pretty innocuous questions so gave him all wrong answers....he asked how tall I was and how much I weighed to get my BMI but I told him I monitor that so he doesn’t need to know.....seemed just like a fishing expedition for my particulars....

rang number back and "optus advises that the dailled number is wrong or incomplete"

Did not answer. Did NOT leave a message. Susoect scam nbn or similar

I didn’t answer and the caller didn’t leave a message. I suspect it was someone pretending to be from the NBN. I had 4 calls in very quick succession about 15 minutes earlier. I spoke to caller who said he was from NBN. He kept ringing but I let it go to answering machine. His number was (03) 8579 6707. This is a “negative telemarketer” according to Google.

I called back number (02) 7202 2478 spoke to a woman but did not say for what company.
