Received the same type of call and hung up. Later that day another same scam from a mobile number 0430 502 179

Caller: Scam call

ATO scam call. Don't trust them, don't answer the call, don't give them any personal details.

I was having lunch with a friend on Monday who received one of these calls and she was shocked that I had never received one. 2 days later I received one of these calls.. and another one on Thursday.... and another one just now on Friday. All about my TFN being suspended and warrants for my arrest, pressing one for more details.... pfft... as if. So I don't know if they somehow get the data from the phones... strange that my friend and I were messaging earlier and then sitting together when she received the call and now I am receiving the same nonsense calls. Number blocked.

Automated message saying there was a issue with my tax file number. I promptly hung up and blocked them

This number called me today (02) 7201 8298 and when I ignored it I received another call from this mobile number 0414 482 732

Recorded message from guy with Aust accent posing as tax office regarding a matter going to court. Obvious scam. I hung up

Scam call (recorded message) saying they were from Services Australia are there was an issue with my Tax File number, that there was a warrant out for my arrest and to press 1 for further information.

Scam. NSW (02) numbers don't generally start with 7, so I was wary of it when my phone rang.
No message was left. I then googled (02) 7201 8298 it and was directed to this page.
Number now blocked. How do these numbers not get chased up by police etc if there have been 92 complaints??

Tax scam. They told me they discovered 22 pounds of cocaine in NT that had my name and tax file number under it.

I politely asked of the drugs back but she refused to give it to me and hung up on me.

Pretty rude to be honest.

Be very careful to NEVER "Press 1..." for this or that. If you do, then you're confirming to the scammer that the number they called is a "live one".
So they will then add you to their register, and on-sell your number to other scammers, because they see you as gullible.

Had the same call y'dy from another similar number. Same words as previous, except I didn't proceed to Press 1 as I have had similar calls before. Have "blocked number" again, however, they just keep finding different numbers to use.

Claimed were tax dept. was a problem with my tfn and warrant out for my arrest. Actually called ATO and they checked. Said it was a scam and to ignore. Said to ring if worried.

Same as everyone else. Scam about tax. Didn't bother to press 1 and it just hangs up
