I called back number (02) 7200 0687 reached IVR for a company called acs volunteers association.

I taught them some new words.

Ring chairperson of SES Volunteer Aasociatin named Fay on 0435 964 455 to complain about this company trashing reputation of SES volunteer organisation by persistent unsolicited robot calls which say nothing or hang up when answering. Doing a lot of damage to SES as I will not ever give money to cold callers.

Who ever rang from this number dose not say a thing so just hung up .

Didn’t even answer.

ACS Volunteers is the Australian Computer Society volunteers, I VERY, VERY much doubt they would be making unsolicited phone calls. And if they did, the behaviour of hanging up doesn't sound consistent with the level of professionalism on their public facing site. I say it's a scam.

if i dont know the number i dont answer it. I only answer calls from my list of contacts.

I now refuse to answer calls from unknown callers. Usually others on this site confirm they are cold callers seeking donations. I check here, then block them. I must have provided my phone number on a petition or website somewhere and I now get calls from many numbers, almost daily. Thanks for being here Reverse Australia

calls after 5 annoying

First time I answered, they hung up. I've had missed calls from them every day for over a week now, no msgs left - not going to pick it up again, its getting very annoying :/

I called its, not ACS it's the SES State Emergency Service selling raffle tickets, the message says to ring 1300 707 344 if you want to buy tickets or no longer want to be called.
