VOIP telemarketer for solar panels, qualifying for government solar rebate. phoned 5:30pm on Saturday. Asked if I was on a DNC register (I am). Regularly have these calls (1 or 2 per month). I will speak to the local contact person who has engaged them and let them understand that these calls are damaging the industry.

Blow a loud whistle into the phone. I use an umpires whistle. I don't get hardly any calls now. If they want to ring and annoy me - that's what they get!

A male Edward called this morning heavily accented, then a female this afternoon also heavily accented. They say they are from the Government Solar Panel Scheme. I just hang up now but it is so annoying and inconvenient. I have a very sick husband to care for and no time to waste on this rubbish.

Indian woman with very thick accent named "Stacey" (really?) called about solar panels. Asked if I had solar panels. I said I didn't even have a phone. She then hung up.

I am getting so sick of these calls. Telstra - do something about it.

I seem to be having same problem . ringback line is not connected this is illegal use of carriage service . block number perhaps they will get bored .

Why can't someone help us to stop them from ringing. Love to know how they get your home phone number in the first place.

on 15th may this number appeared on my caller id 6 times each time the answering machine kicked in and recorded a beep followed by a 30 second pores before and other beep then hung up. time 8.30am to 10.00pm

Answered, I did not say anything, heard a beep every few seconds, then it eventually hung up.

100% SCAM Number

Asian female asking to speak to the home owner....ANZAC Day!

Received a call 2:00pm today from this number - not the first. Only this time he asked for me by my first name only!!!! That has never happened before. When I asked where he got my name from he said the Do Not Call Register. I then told him the Do Not Call register is people he is NOT to call. He said sorry and that he would delete my number from his database. I asked him to delete everyone on the Do Not Call Register from his database. He got annoyed at me and ended up calling me a stupid woman and told me to report him. So sick and tired of these calls - it's every day!!!

Phone call from this number today, female person with accent regarding federal government solar rebate. When I wasn't very co-operative she hung up on me. Tried to call the number back, but unable to do so as number does not exist.

We keep getting calls from this number, when we answer the phone there is nobody there so we have to wait until they are ready to talk to us.
When we say we are not interested they just hang up. Perhaps when they can speak english a little more clearly they could take a course on manners.

Just received a call from (02) 6847 2619 asking for the owner of the house. Obviously wanting to sell something i said the owner of the house is not here at the moment, how can i help you? Then asked where did you get this number from (only had our landline number for 1 month - paying extra for it to be a private number with Telstra) - They said it was listed in the Whitepages. Something dodgey is going on here and i am paying for a private number and still getting telemarketer calls like this. Anyone have any advice in what my next move should be, feel free to leave a comment. Thanks.

Creepy pests won't stop calling.

I do not even bother answering the landline anymore. People either leave a message on the answering allowing me to choose whether I respond, or they contact me on my mobile. I am so sick of the solar panel people, the "someone in your household has had an accident" people, the "Telstra" people telling me I have a virus on my computer, etc etc. I just wish all phones came with a "block this call" button :)

Why am I getting calls from this number when I have registered on the Do Not call register

Just had a call from this number. She asked "Is this Mrs ....." and I said "yes it is"
she then asked "Are you the home owner?" I said "yes I am" she then said "ok goodbye"
I don't know where these people are calling from or what they are calling about.

one thing we all have in common is a landline and maybe on the do not call list which has been sold on to telemarketers, i don't seem to get to many on mobile phone perhaps no list yet or too expensive.
