Called and asked my staff about which printer we used. We then received an overpriced shipment of printer toner (which we didn't order) along with an invoice which they insisted we pay. Unable to get a refund or send the printer toners back. They then rang back 6 months later saying that we had an order for printer toner supplies ready to be shipped again. Do not deal with these scammers and hang up when they ring up. This number is for Ecoprint , located in Byron Bay, sells recycled and remanufactured toner cartridges, Australian native tree planted for all confirmed toner orders. In business for 8 years. They also ring from 066857163. The young aussie female voice thanked me for participating in a survey, wanted to reward me $20, and asked about the delivery to me of the toner cartridges I ordered. A very dishonest person. She said she was from Eco Print. Excreta Print would be a far more accurate description. Do not be pushed into giving these scammers any printer details.
Like a lot of the people below, our company & the company next door have been phoned & pressured into giving out our printer make & model etc as they "Buy back" cartridges. The lady on the phone was shocked when we advised that we won't be tricked into buying. She was very rude & I highly doubt she was legitimate.
Just had a call from these scammers. These are unsolicited calls about ink cartridges. Very rude, unprofessional and intrusive. A pox on all their houses I say. Scammer...called a few times then hang up when I pick up the phone...annoying... I received a call this morning from an ink-saving printer cartridge company. They wanted to thank me for completing a survey about my printer - I vaguely recall a call maybe 3 months prior a caller asking questions about my office printer for a local business survey.
This particular call today, was to offer me a voucher or to plant a tree in my name for completing the survey.
The caller then proceeded to push a trial subscription to their cartridges for a discounted price of $180 or so, "before they hit the retailer shelves" - That does not seem like a discount in my opinion, and they did not mention what brand these mysterious cartridges were!
This person was very quick to say there was no contract commitment involved, but also said they wanted me to trial the cartridges for 12 months, and would send an invoice on a 60 day account....
I don't know, seems like being pushed into a subscription to me! Number blocked!
Do not fall for these scammers Absolute Scammers, do not entertain their calls. This is a major scam!!! Had a call from "Becky" who confirmed which printer we used and wanted to reward us with a voucher or planting a tree. Then told me I had agreed to take part in a trial of cartridges (despite the previous call asking me if we'd be interested in buy backs of ink toners to save the environment). Started reeling off the prices and that once we receive the first shipment they continue to do so and wanted to record me saying that I understand. I knew it was a scam so gave them a false name (always do when it's telemarketers) and hung up before she could record me. Then followed up with an email saying we give no consent to anything being sent to us for a trial or orders and to cease contact. I have just had a call today as a follow up to a "survey" about which printers we use (which I did take part in, as I was interested in the opportunity to recycle our cartridges) and offering a voucher or tree planted. The caller then said, "we have your introductory order of cartridges" which we definitely did not order. I quickly cut her off and said told her so. A new receptionist had been fooled by this in the past from this company, so fortunately I knew better. A very dishonest company. EcoPrint are very deceptive. They call up and tell us that we are on a contract/have an agreement/have placed an order with them and that they are going to send us out printer cartridges. Once you have agreed to accepting an order from them over the phone you are legally bound to it and it is non-refundable and non-returnable. They send out a ridiculous amount of cartridges (5 at once) which equates to around $1,000 that we have to pay for something we don’t need. They have been told not to call our business multiple times but every few months they ring and go through exactly the same spiel again, hoping to get someone different on the phone. Even if you need to order printer cartridges, do not use this company. thanks Simone Happy Ecoprint swapped my over supply of toners to ones I could use . Also, very happy they plant an Australian tree every time I order. We NEVER send toners out without an official order, either printed and signed or by voice recording with the buyer clearly stating they have authority to order and their company name. We take all orders back within the ten business day official cooling off period and after that at no cost to the customer if there is a genuine issue with quality. Do not deal with this dishonest company who try to find out your make and models of printers and then send you toners without authorisation and demand payment.
They will record your call and very quick to provide this eveidence to use against you.
Typically call at high volume times of the day. Tricked our staff into buying cartridges by recording them - knew staffs name and printer models before calling. When confronted about being a scam company they get very rude and will not agree to refunds or returns. Nasty "Company" - steer clear. Very pushy company. Do not deal with them. We have an over supply of toner and I asked if they would like to buy toner from our company (ha ha) but they were not interested. Just had a phone call from these people, they told me they were wanting to buy back old printer cartridges and they wanted to know the printer models so they could send me out a buy back rate list.
I tried saying that we only had one printer at our office and its really old and we don't do much printing but he continued to push and push for the name of the printer.
When he didn't give in i told him i wasn't interested and he hung up on me before i could even finish my sentence.
He then called back 1 minute later and i told him that he called me just before and i had been rudely hung up on and he denied it and i said "I know it was you because you talk heaps slow!!" and he got all angry at me and said "excuse me?!?" and i said "what, is saying someone talks slow offensive??" and they said talking slow is a good quality to have so the customer can understand you have a nice weekend and hung up on me again LOL.
