Interesting how Mr Anderson refers to "Your Name", but he never mentions who? "Who do you want to serve the warrant on Mr Anderson?". I deal with the ATO on a regular basis as I work in government and civil matters don't involve criminal warrants. Subpoenas yes but warrants you can stick up your arse Mr Anderson..."as you can see we've had our eye on you for quite some time Mr Anderson" sic The Matrix.

I am not surprised he didnt want to use my full name. He probably couldnt pronounce it!

So glad I'm not the only one. I was called today from a "James Anderson" sounded like a recorded message saying I had committed fraud, the commonwealth were coming after me and I'd have to go to court! I called ATO (number on there website) and they had no record of anyone trying to call me. SCAM

When I answered the phone to this a number and refused to agree to what my name was, he tried to tell me that I was in trouble for taxavasion and fraud. I knew it was a hoax and said that I would be happy to wait to be arrested if this was true.
He then called me a stupid bitch and hung up.

I got a voicemail from James Anderson (with a very thick accent) from the Australian tax office. Wanting me to call back on 07 65152916 as there has been a complaint made regarding tax evasion in my name, said not to ignore the message and to call back immediately or a warrant will be issued for my arrest. Clearly a Scam!
I verified with ATO that it was definitely a scam and reported it.

This number called me on my mobile. When I tried to answer it their was a recorded msg from ATO. Msg stated that my name was involved in a taxation fraud and that I should call the back. When I returned the call noone answered it.

This number called me and said I have commited tax fraud and that the police will be picking me up in 45 mins and I could have to pay up to $95,000.00 dollars or spend 5-10years in prison . I am a mother of young children at home and this really scared me , I am horrified that there are people out there doing this and my worry is if they do it to an elderly person who could have a heart attack :(

Received a call from A 'James Anderson' apparently from the ATO that went to our message bank. Claimed l was in trouble regarding a taxation matter and said to not ignore this message and call back asap. Would imagine as above, ATO would not leave a message and would contact you by other means as well. Will report to ATO also.

A Lady said her name is Jane Anderson, she is from Australian Taxation Office, and said I got complain and will get in trouble with Australian Taxation Office

Rang and stated he was from the Australian Taxation Office and that l was in trouble for taxation fraud told me to call this number. Another hoax caller trying to swindle money. If the real tax office was calling you they would know all your details and your tax file details. This is a Hoax Caller. Ignore it.
