I called back number (02) 6344 8424 rang 3 times then goes to busy tone.

Only 2 digits off a friend's number - so I assumed it was, and thus not expecting the call centre delay. Again, solar panel spiel - not interested, also we are on the do not call - but that is a toothless tiger when you actually lodge a complaint with do not call.

Received a call from this number on my landline phone. There was the usual overseas call centre delay and then a male voice with a thick Indian or Pakistani accent came on the line and said he was calling about the government solar rebate scheme. I told him I was not interested and hung up. About 15 minutes later the same number came up on my mobile phone and I terminated the call and added the number to my auto reject list.

Had 2 calls 40 minutes apart, 1 to landline and one to mobile selling solar panels. Asked if they checked the do not call register and they hung up.
