This number made an unlawful recorded massage call to a mobile number that is listed on the do not call register.

The number from ACT claimed to be Chinese visa Application it is a scam and the telco is responsible to allow the scammers to use their system to cheat the public!

I called back number (02) 6279 7800 reached IVR for a company called Chinese Visa Application Center

Definitely a scam.

Fortunately, my phone suggested high risk of this number so I just put it down.

A man said he was a staff member of the Chinese Consulate in Australia. Then I asked: the consulate is still working at 7:45pm? Is there overtime pay? fraud hang up right away

Received a call from (02) 6279 7800 several times today and listed as "Potential Fraud" - also received calls around the same time from 0416 376 642 where a message was left in another language - asian based -
Returned call to Land line number, asian message service - do not waste your time contacting

Blocked and deleted. Why doesn't the govt and Telstra stop this? I don't understand why they bother when recording is in Mandarin. Can't see how they achieve anything.

Whilst i couldn't understand at all I think she wished me a great day, and to continue to be wary of scammers, but don't stress about it. The world is full of jerks, we just need to appreciate that they were once beautiful beings, and may return to one eventually

China scam

Caller: Chinese Visa Application

Allegedly Chinese Visa Application Centre in the ACT, have never had attempted to obtain a visa nor even Google searched travelling to China, no idea why they have called me but the answer is in Mandarin so I can't understand anything they say.

3rd call this year from this number emanating from Canberra, Always in Chinesse. Hung up and blocked number.

Left a message. Called the number which went to Chinese Visa Application Centre, Canberra.

After reading these comments it makes me wonder how the hell they got our number!

Received the call from this number today. Did not answer. Wasting time talking to the scammer.
