supposed ATO, american voice taped recording, threatening action and sheriff coming around etc etc

It's a scam as everyone else has said. Irish accent message which threatens you to call the number in regards to fraud which will be reported.

Tax fraud? I think its phone fraud. Every time a sucker rings, a phone company makes money. Could that explain why they continue to operate?

I had 4 of these calls on one day.

Had 2 messages on 25.8 saying for me or lawyer to call back.. mans voice with american accent.. we think it was definitely a scam..

just got the idiots, rang back and they hung up, so if this is a legitimate number how come no one is closing them down

Got a message stating I was in breach of ATO and fraudulent and to phone (02) 6188 5661
Stated this would be passed to the AFP to investigate.
ATO would not address this type of incident via phone and I concluded this would be a scam.

it said it was a ATO number i rang back and they answered what should i do?

same thing on 24-08 and 25-08, needs reporting to the tax office

Scam, taped message threatening legal action and violent outcomes if supposed debts are not paid. Give them a wide berth.

I had the same thing today... A guy with an Irish accent left a voice mail on my home phone supposedly from the ATO threatening legal action and arrest. Rang the number back but only an American voice taped recording saying person is unavailable. No one every answers the number/phone despite numerous calls

Believe this is a tax fraud
