On answering an automated voice advised I was under investigation and a warrant was outstanding for my arrest and I should call the same number back.
Obviously a fraudulent call as - for many reasons I won't list here except to say ATO does not make calls like this.
Beware !!!!

They called me and I missed there call they left automated message regarding a warrant for my arrest and was time sensitive, I'm glad I read all these comments I was ready to pack my bags lol

Didn't want to talk to me once I told him I new he wasn't from the tax office. Stupid moron

Msg "I regret to inform you that your account has been marked down for tax avoidance paperwork sent to your registered address has also returned it back and signed delivered"

Got called by this number today, was completely automated, no greeting, said to call back to a different number.

Obviously fake, hung up before it could continue.

Same. About tax, warrant for my arrest, etc. called the number back and busy signal - FRAUDS!

Scam message saying they’re going to issue a warrant for arrest for not declaring taxes. Obviously a BS call. Don’t return the call.

It’s a fraud call. I call back and guy asking me that I didn’t pay tax. Hang up in between conversation

This is a scam call. They pretend to be ATO but it is scam. Do not answer and do not call back.

Its a scam. Recieved a call and reported it.
ATO dont call people even if they do they never threaten you.
So feel free to give these scamers some Aussie love..

Automated call stating that a warrant had been issued on my name due to some tax evasion and I should call back immediately. Someday I am going to call back and screw their happiness.

SCAMMER - said i owe money to ATO and warrant out for my arrest. I owe nothing.

Same thing happened to us today. Something about the call being from the ATO and a warrant for my arrest. When I returned the call and asked some pointed questions the person with a thick accent on the other end said "Don't ask silly questions" and hung up :D

They called and left a message about mistake on my tax return and warrant for arrest. I called back. They wanted me to verify my contact details and explained there was a mistake and the ATO had a warrant for my arrest.I called my tax agent who checked my account and all is ok. Beware - SCAM SCAM SCAM!!

The voice call was clearly a scam. Don't answer. Block the number.

I missed the call and there was a automated voice message left... the first bit was missing... and they mentioned a warrant for my arrest and said it was 'time sensitive' ... left this number to call. Sounded fraudulant to me.
