This one calls with a recorded message saying to reply to this number urgently as there is a Law suit against me. Called the number to see what they were trying to pull. They said from the ATO and they had my name. They said it related to my tax and they are taking legal action. I asked for them to confirm which office they are calling from and he said Canberra and then hung up. So I thought I would call them back for the fun of it. They started the BS again and then hung up.

Same comment as above. Call from this number claiming a lawsuit was being filed against me for not having paid taxes. Asked to speak to supervisor and they said "don't call us again" and hung up.

'Matthew' with very dark sound and some accent left a voice message warned me for very serious matter and urged me to call back on (02) 6176 0881..... annoying scam

Two messages left last week (which I was away overseas) to tell me the ATO needed to discuss a loss on my account (?) and to call this 'hotline' - glad I looked it all up first. Very very heavy eastern european accent. Thanks everyone for reporting it.

Fake ATO Call. The call was recorded and I reported it to the ATO.

ATO scam same as everyone else. Sadly the reason I never answer the phone that's nuking my body. Insane!

Just got a call on my phone and on Skype.

American accent and words in script mispronounced.

Exact as the above knew my name, however I know how the ATO performs identification and he didn't at all just a pest.

Received same as above threatening a lawsuit from the ATO.

Computerized voice saying I need to call back this number, he said he was from ATO and legal action would take place if I did not follow through. I hung up.

Same. Received the same call this morning saying that there is a lawsuit pending and saying I have to call them back asap. Reported it to ATO.

I just received a phone call from this number at work. Exactly what described a man called Matthew Clark saying the ATO is filling a lawsuit against us and I needed to call back.
Of course I'm not going to call back. Just wish this guy hasn't wasted my time listening to the pathetic message!

I've got a phone call today and a man, Steven White, said that I owed $5000 at ATO. A police man will come to me if I hang up the phone call. What a silly! English is not my mother tongue but it was so obvious it is a scam. He asked me that I need to go Woolworths and buy a voucher. What???!! :)

Got left a voicemail and told I have someone filing a law suit against me and they were from the ATO... knew this was a scam as the ATO deal directly with my accountant and not me, so it was out of character that they would be contacting me directly, plus the caller sounded like he was from overseas or computer generated....looks like the scammers have gotten a list of ABNs and contacts.

Got this call saying about my tax and I am sure it's a scammer, I have already got this from another number, I don't know how they get my number...

Hi Rod - I just rang this number, the guy who took the call said he the persona who rang wasnt available. He asked me for my licence number. Then started swearing at me and told me not to call back.
All my phone numbers have been wiped from my phone. Did anything happen to your phone?
