I received a call from this number too.. claiming to be the ATO. I deal with the ATO almost weekly with my business, this is definitely a scam, the ATO never contact you like this.

Same as all the others. Claiming to be from the ATO and after me for tax avoidance???. Requesting I phone them back - no chance.

ATO tax avoidance resulting in warrant for my arrest

Same as everyone else-very below average attempt to scam. Caller left a dodgy recorded message saying a warrant was out for my arrest due to tax “avoidation”. They get points for using a Canberra number (where ATO offices are) but lose them immediately for poor English - always a dead giveaway! Report them to https://www.scamwatch.gov.au so they can hopefully be stopped.

The really sad part is, I know elderly people who would call back and jump through any and all hoops, and subsequently lose all their savings... they wouldn't even think to contact an account, or solicitor, before reacting, either.

Got a call from ‭(02) 6176 0877‬ saying I’m from ATO and will be arrested for tax avoidance. Definitely a scam. Don't call back as they request as it is likely to cost you a premium call rate.

I called then my person who picked up says he was officer Randolph ... after asking him about more details he just hang up .... purely scam

A Scam message left on phone. Poorly recorded message, clearly computer generated, trtying to scare people, saying tax isnt paid. Total BS. My accountant and ATO auditor would laugh. When will the ATO & Telstra stop these units from annoying people, or more importantly stop selling data to third parties. Its an invasion of personal privacy..

Message left with automated message stating I was being pursued for tax evasion. Load of rubbish!

Received recorded call advising the ATO in investigating me for fraud.
Message provides number to call before the ATO issue an arrest warrant.

Total Garbage as ATO would send unpaid debts to debt collectors with out contacting people

The ATO would need to engage the AFP to enable an arrest warrant to be issues as they do not have this power themselves
