Scam - Pretending to be Australian Taxation Office - Clearly Not

Interesting pattern. Just got called by this creep called Gordan Collins putting up a American accent trying to talk like a ozzy. Gave me this number to call back for some fraud investigation. Why is Telstra or federal police not shutting down the phone and related entity.

I am an Indian student and I've got a phone this morning from these idiots who surely are Indians and can't even speak properly and asking me to put 5000 $ in the bank account which they recogns is ATO bank account if not Audtralian federal police will come tomorrow at my home and will arrest me so Please don't give any bank information to these bunch of idiots

Got a phone call this afternoon but didn't pick up, they left a message saying similar things about income tax and taking legal actions against me etc. That guy had a very odd accent and I can barely understand him. What's concerning is seems like he knew my last name.

I had a call from this number. They said I owed money for tax and if I do not pay qithin a certain time frame the police will come. I rang up the official ATO number and they said it is a known scam. If you receive a call from this number hung up and call you service provider to block the number.

Total scam just hang up as soon as they say from ato as the ato will only contact you by mail so they have a paper trace of any correspondance.

Very Convincing! BUT inconsistent with how the ATO operates. Shaking down people for an immediate payment????? Don't provide ANY personal information - it only helps the scammer to convince you. AND DEFINITELY don't provide account details cause thats all they want- your money

Definately Scam phone call from a guy who claimed from ATO, he couldn't get rid of his strong indian accent. He was so angry when I asked to have a reference number if he's from ATO. And he tried to scare me about police will arrest me if I hand up his phone call. what a idiot!!!

Person claiming to be a Ronnie Cannon from the ATO's 'tax crime investigation" unit called, claimed my daughter owed taxes. She's a teenager. I called the number back to complain. They then called me back again using a different name saying disgusting things that made it abundantly clear they are filthy scammers. Someone needs to track them down and shut them down. Don't fall for it!

Stupid Indian scammer trying to tell me, a SCHOOL-AGED girl that I hadn't done my taxes. He called saying he was from the ATO and when I said I did not pay taxes as I am too young, he insisted I hand the phone to my parents. I hung up. Idiot.

Had a call from this number today. Called them back and they were laughing in the background and then started to say their from the tax office. I asked the address of the office and they couldn't respond dodgy mofos.
