I got the same message as all of the other people here. Call and report this call with as much as details about it to the real ATO number for reporting scams - it's free from anywhere in AU. The number is 1800 008 540, opened from 8am - 6pm AEST.
Good luck and don't reply on the number from the call!

Caller: Robotic Male Voice

Have to call them back immediately or they issue an arrest warrant in my name and get me arrested immediately.

Had a missed call from (02) 6172 0731 who left a voice to text message "Brian and the investigation team of our department is investigating you and your family. We tried to notify you regarding this issue but we never got any response."
I rang the number from an unidentifiable landline & got a Telstra message advising the number is not connected, please check the number & call again......

Caller: Stephen Hawking I think?

Sounded suspiciously like Stephen Hawking, told me I would be in deep trouble from the ATO and there was arrest warrants in my name

Obvious scam

Called me today saying that there are 2 arest warrents under my name

Said he was from taxation department and wanted me to call him back. Dodgy as..!!

Big Scam.
Voice mail he said he is from taxation office and will arrest if not give call back.

A man with robot-like voice left a voicemail saying to ring him back otherwise a warrant of arrest will be issued

Fraud from tax dept

Received a voicemail of an automated message repeating the number twice and then stating that they were going to issue an arrest warrant and have me arrested.
No name or any other information given. Definitely sounds like a scam call.

Claimed to be ATO. Scam looking me to give name and tax file number over phone just hang up and call your tax office and repost this number ...

A person said he had a legal case against me if I didn’t get in touch. He had an American accent.
I tried returning the call but it didn’t answer.

Just received a very heavy call from a robot voice saying "ATO, call back now, otherwise an arresat warrant will be issued in your name!" Very heavy...

Wanting money due to outstanding ATO debt.

Called a number of times, and spoke to a few different people who tried to arrange a payment plan.

This number left a voicemail saying they have an arrest warrant to arrest me, and that I need to get back to them ASAP. Ridiculous!
