Most certainly a fraudulent call I spoke to the ato and they said this was a spam call and do not phone back at all

Just read all the previous comments and I agree, these people should get a real job and stop threatening innocent people.

They left the same message on my phone, definitely a scam i spoke to ATO and reported it, but why AFP not finding it out this or shutting down this number?

Same thing, my house is under surveillance, due to tax evasion.....and I will be taken to court by the ATO......seriously!!!! Get a real job!!!

The caller left a threatening message on my landline. Said we were under investigation for tax evasion, and our address is being watched. He claimed to be from the Commonwealth Department of Public Prosecutions and if we didn't call back he would get state and federal authorities to detain us. We won't be calling back, this is an obvious scam. If such a body wanted to contact us they would do so by formal mail. Do not respond to these calls.

Just received call from this number - wanting to talk to my partner. Had very strong Asian accent. Claiming to be from the department of public prosecutions, identified himself as Officer Daniel White. Said needed to talk to partner for about a legal case file.

Had a message left on my answering machine claiming to be from Dept of Public prosecutions regarding an ATO matter..What a load of garbage definitely a scam these people should get a real job and leave hard working people alone.

Wanted my Solicitor's name because the ATO had legal papers. Informed him that the ATO does not ring people and make these requests and he needed to put it in writing. He then yelled at me asking "Do you want to be arrested?"

My parents have just been called and advised that they are wanted for Tax Evasion. Again this gentleman was a non Australian and unable to speak clear english. Threatening physical harm and police arrest, along with verbally abusing my parents both, when questioned as to his credentials etc.

Just had 4 calls on my answering machine. An automated message claiming my house was under surveillance and something about tax evasion. Once I looked it up, I see this is a scam.

Beware of this number claiming to be from Canberra ATO office. Could hardly speak clear English. Absolute scam.

This fools have rung to tell me that they work for some Taxation department in Canberra and need me to contact them to sort out a serious problem as soon as possible. On my call back the man call not be clearly understood, and when questioned about who he was and what authority he had, I was told to "get f..ked" Obviously as pathetic scam, or a disgruntled government employee without enough coffee !
