I got a call from the ATO but couldn't hear them and they guy sounded American saying I had been charged with fraud, on several accounts.
I have a tax agent and specialise in tax law myself so I knew it was a scam call immediately.
I hope no one falls for this horrible scam.

This number with the manager names of Angelina Cooper and Mike Watson was given to my husband. They said they were from the department of Finance, I rang the department of finance and it was all bull. This is a scam number! Has been reported to scamwatch

Got a call from an indian bloke regarding reimbursment($6325) from our government for overcharges on bank charges, asked me to get Western union form and call back on above no. to confirm my detail and give me indian lawyers details to pay $425 to help our Government pay for the indian lawyers who worked on the case(haha) names used were Daniel, John Douglas and Steven Coleman, thought scam straight away, got on here and confirmed it , thanks all....... wot a crock....sick of these people

Received a message on my home phone from a Jason O'connor from ATO Canberra. When I rang I asked for his ID and he hung up immediately.

It's completely fake call.. Bloody Indian try to snatch money from others using ATO name..The guy claiming his name Daniel Atlas with an Indian accent..

Just had identical call. Not calling back!

I just received a call from a lady, she had a forgien accent- possibly India, I was going to receive a reimbursement of $6325 from the federal government due to people being overcharged in my area for utilities, bank fees etc.
I had to verfy my DOB and she had my post code of where I lived. I have to call (02) 6152 8631 and speak to her line managers Angelina Cooper or MIke Watson to finish verifying my details. What could go wrong???

Just got a call today, same names as everyone else , Angelina Cooper and her supervisor Mike Watson. Same story asked to confirm birth date. I gave them a dummy one and bank details. I said I don't have a bank. Private number and delay when you pick up. Indian accent.

At about 11am today my mother in a nursing home had a call from this number claiming to be Angelina Cooper from ATO. Had an Indian accent, asked for bank details and said someone would bring a cheque around for $7500. Fortunately she gave no details.

CAll from NAB bank overseas - to all Mike Watson reference KS97 and to call (02) 6152 1831 as I had a refund of $7000 for over charge in bank fees - wanted my BSB and ACCT number - SCAM SCAM SCAM - May 2016

I had 2 calls from Maureen saying she was from the Reclaim Finance Department too and gave me the names Mike Watson & Angelino Cooper and a code to ring them back to claim my $7,500 back. Scammers.

just received two consecutive calls from Missal(pronounced Michelle) Thompson on this number, her "ID" DP186 and a number for Mike Watson , above, to confirm the overcharging by my bank of $7500
Wanted my name in full, and the bank to send the money.

I had the same phone call as Omar this morning same amount and names numbers , stupid me did ring them straight back and the person on the other end told me I had to ring back in 15 mins because he needed to set up a few things to get this process in order , that really got to me so spoke to my sister whom said to get on online and check out the number so I did SURPRISE SURPRISE their they are it's bullsh*t that these people can mess with people's life's if only I could see them face to face !!!!!! Arseholes!!!

Just received a call ( private # ) from Indian , named Peter , who advised that he is calling from Finance Department of Australian Federal Government ... He claims that there is an amount of $7500 which will be reimbursed to me , cause of the bank overcharges, which they will send via Cheque .... He already had my address , but wanted to confirm DOB ( he claimed he needed this detail to make sure he is speaking with the correct person ) , and also asked for the spelling of first name ... and then wanted to know which bank I bank with, so they can send the cheque from the correct bank .... He then gave me a reference ID : RJ18 , and managers names : Mike WATSON & Max LEWIS , and asked me to call this number (02) 6152 8631 .... When he hung up , I looked up this number and saw the complaints , so obviously did not call ... But what really got to me , is that 10 mins after he hung up , Peter called me again , and said that the managers were waiting for my phone call , and I hadn't called ... I asked him why he was in a hurry , and why did he call back ... I told him that he must have been paid per scam , and he wanted to make sure I went ahead with the call ... Peter tried to deny all this , and started to stutter , so I HUNG UP !!

I got a call from an indian sounding person who gave me this number to call back in regards to a $6325 amount to be reimbursed from the Australia Government for the bank overcharging me on my transactions, told him i wanted it by cheque, he asked me to go to post office and get western union form because i needed to pay $425 to help pay the government pay the 'índian lawyers' who worked on the case and to ring him back so he could tell me how to fill it out with the lawyers details.....

How the hell did you get MY home number & PRIVATE DETAILS when I PAID FOR AN unlisted number? I never added my number to your website. ALLOW ME TO OPT OUT IMMEDIATLEY NOT VIA EMAILING YOU. Was pretty sure it was a scam but thought id check anyway. Dead giveaway when they don't mention anyone's name of who they are addressing it to & also an American who sounds pre recorded was another alarm bell.
