Tax scam. Male with accent left message claiming to be from ATO and they have warrant for arrest in my name for fraudulent activity. Other websites agree this is a fake call.

The Americano is pretty busy. Threatening criminal charges. While initially perplexed, it was way too strange. Ignored as a child I guess. At least he ended with 'may God bless me'. Poor boy - I rather think it is he who needs the blessing.

Another one with American accent. Very threatening actions to be taken if I don't call back this number 😳

I just got one of these phone calls...

I had the American accent guy leave a message and when I called back he said his name was Agent Roy Cage from ATO Crime Branch with a badge ID. He was so professional in his dealings, obviously he's getting better at his job day by day. Had me on the phone for 45 minutes, said the same things as quoted above and told me not to involve third parties and get money from my parents without them finding out who it's for. Anyway, beware of such scammers as they're on the prowl at the moment, it being tax filing time of the year.

Definite scammer! I called the number and asked where his office was based, then told him I also worked for the ATO and he hung up on me. Then googled and saw the messages about reverse charging... I'm currently online with Telstra checking...

Just had a similar message with a male voice claiming to be from ATO. Indications that it is fake - did not mention their name, did not mention who they were calling for, referred to 'your' attorney, claims of arrest warrant being issued, ended call with "May God bless you".

Left message they were from ATO Tax evasion and fraud office, legal action would be taken to recover. Did not answer call. It is a scam please take care.

Same as the rest. Male American accent, very threatening, supposedly from Australian Tax Office.

They said they were working for the ato and could I send my imformation to a criminal lawer .

This is a scam-er DON'T call the number it will charge you a arm and leg for the call.
