They have called us twice ATO lawsuit against us….. as if…… first time my daughter hung up second time they called it went to our answering machine …… how can people be so gullible to believe a call like this…….. wouldn't even bother calling back…. too obvious its a scam

I received a message tonight on my answering machine. Guy with American Accent telling me it was the ATO Australian Taxation Office and that there was a lawsuit launched in my name from Canberra and I was not to ignore the phone call and ring back on this phone number. I have absolutely no intention of following through but will be reporting it to ACCC.

Just received a message on my phone from a guy with an American accent saying that there were legal proceedings against me by the ATO and that I should not ignore the message. I checked this website and found your comments and others about this scam. I also received an email saying that a refund was due to me and to click on the attachment. I deleted the message.

Scam. Indian accent under the fake Aussie one. Called my parents twice. They just let it go to voicemail.

My mother received a call from this number this morning. They left a message on the answering service & said there is a taxation lawsuit against them, please don't ignore the message. She rang them back but no one answered.

I got a professional sounding message on my answering machine from a man with an American accent telling me the ATO was launching legal proceedings against me and that I or my lawyer should call back immediately on this number. Don't know if it's legit. Have no intention of calling them. Will post again if I get something in writing.

My call today from this number was not from ATO. Definitely a scam

Called today asking me to return call, said it was The Tax Department about tax evation?? Called but drops out.

An elderly QLD friend of mine was called this morning on this number. Caller was claiming to be from Public Prosecutions. I called back on a private line his behalf. the ring tone was an OS call tone. They hung up. Kept on trying, then briefly heard office environment sounds before they hung up on me again.
