Told to call (02) 6140 3468 to enquire about a tax refund of $7600 by caller claiming to be from the central tax office Sydney

Just had a call from these jokers, who threatened to take legal action against me for "serious tax fraud" and are about to issue a warrant for my arrest. Sigh. It seems the scammers have revived this landline after resting it since 2013.

Brad Harvey again from the Canberra ATO asking my friend to go to the post office to pick up a Western union bank form ... our friend had no idea about such scam's and anyone that falls for it isn't necessarily stupid ... just un educated on scam's but it would of been $7,600 that was very needed ... but when the consultant was impatient and wanting my friend to call back quickly (within 30 mins) and the "ATO" asking what she would do with the money ???

They are now doing their rounds in Victoria and using a new number (02) 6100 4019.

The same story if I want to claim the $7100 to be refunded to me, I either had to go to Canberra or I could just get a "Western union money form" from the post office.

Had a call from this number some years ago with same details - Robin Davis's$7600 reimbursement from ATO (Canberra) with Case file number. Surely enough time for ATO or Police to have done something!!

Just off the phone from Robin Davies Reimbursement Office of Canberra Section 32, offering me $7600. It's such an organised scam I've even been allocated a refference number, don't I feel special.

I just had a call from Robin Davies, same thing as above offering me a refund if I went to post office. Hope people never fall for this!! He didnt even know my name, and when I made up a name he said "oh here is your file" seriously at least get it right if your trying to scam!!

Total scam... I thwarted him by asking him to tell me which suburb I live in!

Just received a call from "Michael" from the ATO Reimbursement Department in Canberra. I am to be reimbursed $7,600 (thanks Julia Gillard) and I need to meet him in the Canberra office 26 Anslie Avenue Canberra 2601 or go to the post office. After questioning the legitimacy of the call he transferred me to his Senior Manager "Robert Stanley" who explained this again and proceeded to ask for all my personal details. I just hope no one has fallen for this scam!

So, "Brad Harvey, extn 078" from the "ATO" is calling me becuase Julia Gillard wants to give me a tax refund of $7600. All I have to do is provide some personal information... I don't think so.
My concern is that I've an unlisted number, and he knew my name.
