Received same type of message. Stupid enough not to even say the message is for XXXX - just launches into tirade and demands to be called back.

I continually getting phone calls from someone leaving message on my answering phone saying they are from the ATO and if I don't contact them for assistance there will be a warrant for my Arrest. They even left a name and contact No such as (02) 6140 3421. Getting about 4-6 of theses calls a week and have been receiving them now for over two months. It is a recorded message as each message is the same. New from the beginning that this was a scam but fed up with getting these calls.

Jordan called twice, didn't want to speak to me when I called back numerous time to question him on the ATO hierarchy (was in a playful mood). They prey on the elderly and people whose English isn't great. Called Telstra as to having this number disconnected and the call centre was only interested in getting me to take up service with them. Telstra are as big a scam, but they do it legally! Called Jordan back and blew a whistle in his era!

Voicemail message on home phone from an Indian "Eric Foster". Will not be calling back the number provided, but will be reporting to ATO. They think they're getting smarter but so are we!

Rang this number back, was answered as Australian Tax Office, I asked if I could please verify that this Indian accented guy was a representative of the ATO and he asked "Are you my boss" so I said Yes I am as an Australian taxypaer, can you please verify you are who you say you are an an authorised representative of the ATO and he hanged up on me.

Got a similar message today on the answering machine, from "Jordan Belfont" on this number, so it's an ongoing scam. Still claiming someone is being charged with tax evasion and fraud but doesn't say who the message is for, just that it is from the ATO.

My poor aunt has been a victim of the scam yesterday. Same number called to home and best part is they are not only impersonate as ATO officer but also as Victoria police and freak my aunt out. Lost some cash to them. Made a police report and ATO office. Also reported via Scamwatch.

A client was asked if they had a criminal lawyer as they were being sued by the ATO for a large sum of money. I checked out the phone number and found this site and was able to ensure client that it was just a scam.

Just had a message left on my answering machine saying it is so urgent as you are getting sued by ATO.Firstly he said he is representing AGL which I don't use and by the end of the message he was from the ATO.
The scammers are slowly getting better, but I am always one step ahead.
PLEASE EVERYONE, IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH DEBT DON'T LISTEN TO A PHONE CALL, TELL THEM TO RING YOUR SOLICITOR.

Received a message on our answering machine. Thought it was a scam but still worried a little. Called the number but just got a hang up. Didn't think the Taxation Deoartment would not contact me this way if there was a problem.

Msg left on ans mach from this number. Computer generated arrogant US/Irish voice.
Reported to tax office (the genuine one).
Logged & recorded.
Same attitude as above. SCAM SCAM SCAM.

3 different family members have received scam messages demanding that this number be called back. As well as having an aggressive demeanor, the person makes factual errors such as referring to Federal prosecutors, not the correct title of Commonwealth DPS and ATO departments that are nonexist.
Made my elderly parents very distressed.

I received the same, rude message allegedly from the ATO, today on my home number.

I received the call today. Not knowing of any of the above I called the number, after 7 attempts to call them back as they had left a message on my machine I got through to "Andrew Watson", his badge # 9824776 who told me I was being sued by the ATO, I owed $971.71, I was to pay $6000+, if I took it to court and was found guilty I would be made to pay within 10 days $45000+. When I called the ATO to check if it was true they checked everything and definitely not true. A damn frightening experience

Andrew Watson rang supposedly from the ATO. A very threatening aggressive call. I was asked to listen in and was surprised that the ATO could call tax payers and behave in such a threatening aggressive was. I quickly typed the number into google and realised that this was a scam. Andrew Watson did not give any details of the alleged tax fraud and said that the matter could not be resolved and that the authorities would be around in 24 hours.

I got the same demanding message at home which I am ignoring. ATO, as if???!!

My business phone number is similar to this one and I had two people call back by mistake. It sounded like a spam message - I really doubt the ATO would be doing this and the voicemail (somebody played it to me) sounded much more rude than a professional ATO staff member.
