Legitimate call from Australian National University - do not listen to silly comments saying this is a scam number

I called back number (02) 6125 1234 reached IVR for a school called Australian National University.

It IS a scam number. I got a call from them for the 7th time. A lady tried to pressure me to make a donation for the "ANU fund" for students who need scholarships. She even said that the program will close this Saturday and the payment needs to be made by then. She asked for my current contact details and I refused. Then she asked my experience at the ANU. They will try to trick people to get them to believe that they are from the ANU. Be careful. It IS a scam number.

It was ANU security trying to contact me in regards to an item of my they found! No call back option though...

Yes as Kevin says above. Is the number that will show if you are called by anyone in ANU apparently, including students in their college rooms. So not a scam but yu can't find out exactly who it was unles they leave a message.

I called back number (02) 6125 1234 reached voice mail but could not hear the name of the company properly because of a bad recording.

This is an ANU common line. I received a call from ANU health services using this number. Apparently, not a scam.

I have received several calls from above number within last 3 months period, especially today, I received 13 calls from 09:45 am to 1:45pm up to now. Anyone advice me about this call whether telemarketing or scam , etc;

ANU is currently conducting a telephone campaign contacting alumni. This number is displayed as the incoming calling number on these calls (along with calls from the ANU halls of residence).

Someone called me from the phone number and tried to scam my credit card details. Said they were an employer of the ANU Alumni. Becareful people! Scammers using ANU phone numbers!

I think this is the ANU health service, not 100% sure

This is the number which shows up when someone is calling from one of the ANU Halls of Residence - they all go out through the switchboard so show up with the same number. Not a telemarketer/scam.

Didnt look like a residential number so didnt answer it.No message left so obviously not that important! Most likely a call centre
