offering me a $ 7600.00 government grant claiming they are the government grants office

Got a call from Brendan this morning offering a $7,600 government grant,went to the post office and got told this is a scam don’t believe any governments going to give money for nothing.loosers.

Received a call from the same guy as descriptive by the others here. $7600.00 from the same place and got me to confirm some details. I gave him a fake name and he came back with my actual real last name, scary. He sent me a message for me to confirm a code. I had been scammed before. The message was found in the midst of the previous scammer's message. I pretended that there was something wrong with my phone. Then I hanged up. The phone ran a few times with a private number. 100% flipping scammers. I am pretty sure these are the ones that got me with the Microsoft scam a few months ago.

Received an email claiming to be from the "Australian Government Department of Home Office" (not a real department, or Office), asking me to call them on this number to receive my Tax Refund, apparently the ATO does not handle this anymore.
100% scam number do not call or answer.

Got a missed call from 0488 856 639 and they were dumb enough to leave a voicemail of heavy breathing. Gotta love scam calls.

Yes same thing $7,600 government grant. I didn’t give my details I asked the gentleman to email details, he politely agreed.
Some how knew it was scam

Scammer pretending to be from Grants Office. Gave (02) 6100 8484 but called off 0488 856 639. Nobody cold calls to give away money. This is a scam stay away.

Person called offering me a $ 7600.00 government grant claiming they are the government grants office. They left a message asking me to call them back on this number... don't be fooled!

I too just received (2019 Apr 29) same call from (02) 6100 8484.
Offered me 7,600 grant, that I could use for anything I wanted, as long as it was not used in a business.
I did not give my name and DOB as requested.
Instead told the gentleman I would Google to check the legitimacy of the offer.
The gentleman was not rude, but quickly finished the conversation, after agreeing that I could Google about this.
This web page is the only hit I could find. (Glad I did)
I am surprised that there are not more (potential victims) Googling about this.
