Purports to be a representative of the ATO Legal Department, with the same threats of legal action as above.
As the ATO uses a voice print system, they now have a recording of my first and last name.
This has been reported to the ATO and Australia Cybercrime Online Reporting Network (ACORN). I suggest if you're reading this, you might want to as well;

Looks like the 'Tax Avoidation' scam is still going. I almost feel sorry for the poor robot that read the script - the copywriting was terrible!

Call from (02) 6100 4166 (Canberra, ACT) "Australian Taxation Office" voice recording saying I have unpaid taxes. Its a scam, do not answer and block caller.

Rang the number back from a work landline. He gave me some reference numbers to take down which I did and then asked me to repeat them to him which I didn't......I then asked him what the call was in relation to and he hung up.

This number is a well crafted scam. Don't give them a call back or waist your time with this!

just got the same message saying i will be arrested as i was not home to sign something and now a warrant will be issued fro my arrest - if i dont call back - i blocked the call as per the other message on here

Claims you've been avoiding tax. From someone who knows this is impossible, definitely a scam. ATO always send warning letters/emails anyway, they don't jump straight to "time senstive" legal action lol.

Reported to ATO Scam Reporting 1800 008 540. They didn't seem to fussed. They must get this all the time. Shocking that they can continue to intimidate and scam like this. Shut them down!

Received recorded robotic message missed first words then it went on about warrant for my arrest, need to call (02) 6100 4166 urgently which I did and said number was unavailable at this time!

Same as others... I rang ATO to report, they were friendly but not really interested ... They said to block the number... I did actually ring the buggers back but the phone was switched off.
