This seems to be a scam. I had the same 2nd prize $40,000, except my contact was Christine.I have contacted fair trading. I have given no details to the people who are trying to scam, not even personal. Maybe Galaxy Entertainment should know they are using their sight
Even i got a call from Galaxy...and lady's name is Cindy this time the new number is (02) 6100 3966And wondered why they doing all these stuff with us....what r they going get out of these type of calls?dated :21.10.2011
I have had the same calls, going along the same lines except they haven't asked me for any details other then my postal address, which i gave them.. not much they can do with that unless they really wanna send me stuff. someone needs to accept their "party" invitation and call their bluff. they obviously make it completely unreasonable occasion thinking no one would possibly accept. im disappointed i didn't find this forum earlier cause i would of done this. something about messing with scamming morons gives me great joy :D.
Never Pay money for anything offered freely unless you have previous knowledge of the "survey" or have offered your details to receive the calls.
Always double check everything especially when you are required to give out details.
Be suspicious of anyone giving away something for nothing.
I got the same call from "Monica" and answered the 3 question survey on my choice of shopping products and gave my postal address to receive a sony MP4 within 5-10 working days (it still hasn't arrived) . The next day I received another call to verify details to send the voucher and was invited to the Australian launch of Baida Group that night in Canberra, but as i couldn't make it i was also given a raffle ticket. Received another phone call that night to congratulate me for being a winner but as the connection was bad would be contacted the next day with details. Another call the next day congratulating me on being the 2nd prize winner of the 450,000 Hong Kong dollars. I was then passed on to the supervisor "Victoria" and informed that a winners claim form would be sent via e-mail from the Hong Kong office and to ring her back when I received it as she would instruct me on the completion of the form. This all happened as planned and after completing the form e-mailed it back to "Lei Haung"<ba******up@yahoo.com .Victoria then called me back to verify Hong Kong had received my details and advised that I would receive a call from the "Hangseng Bank" in Hong Kong to verify my bank details ( of an account in which I only had $6 so if they ripped me off they wouldn't get much) and also be advised of the time the money would be transfered. I received a call from the supposed bank and was asked if I had a 'FUND RESOURSE CERTIFICATE' as the money could not be transferred without it . When i didnt have this form "Nicole" advised me to contact the Baida Group to organise one. Upon contacting Victoria regarding this she contacted the HK bank and called to tell me it was the bank not Baida that required this certificate and it was necessary to contact a INTERNALIONAL ACCOUNTANT in Hong Kong to get one so she would contact their Hong Kong office to see if their Accountant could arrange it. I am still waiting for further developements. As a SCAM they have spent a considerable amount of money on phone calls as i must have received at least 10. I can only think that they may wait a time and try to access my money in the future or they may make fake passports or something as they wanted some form of ID and were willing to accept as little as a library card.
Hi everyone. I have received similar. Galaxy Entertainment Group are real. They are a Huge Company based in Hong Kong and have recently opened a new casino in Australia. I found their site and have emailed the public relations office to ask about this so called raffle. We received same thing upto form sent by email. Form has same logo at top of page and does not ask for bank details or date of birth. Yet this form is to have money sent directly to your account within two hours instead of you waiting six weeks to cash a cheque. Will let you know when I receive email back from Galaxy
