Claiming to be ATO tax crime officer andthe matter is highly sensitive and if I dont call immediately they cannot be responsible for what unfold. Scam!

2017 - still getting these calls. What a fail.

Computer message with American voice claiming to be from the ATO regarding a tax file error.

Definitely a scam!

I wasted their time as much as possible before reporting here.

Another ATO scam! Just got a call from a Stephen Hawking-esq like automated voice, saying he was "Agent John Smith" from the ATO. The voice went on to tell me how important it was to call him back on (02) 6100 3008. I let the call finish, and will ignore it except for posting here.

Received a recorded voice phone call from (02) 6100 3008 saying they were from the ATO fraud section and to ring this number immediately otherwise legal action will be taken. Rang the ATO and they have confirmed that this is a scam. Please let others know.

Computer generated voice message left from this number claiming to be from the ATO. Apart from the advice that my 'attorney' should them immediately, the message ends with a not-so veiled threat that if I do nothing then I am likely to be arrested.
