Scam!! Asking to confirm DOB for a 40% discount offer.

Caller: Supposedly Vodafone

I’d just read the comments. They said it’s Vodafone. I’d just read the comments and played along.
They asked for my PIN number. I gave a random number, got transferred to a Supervisor and went through the charade of them trying to put my PIN in.

Tried a few variations of my ‘PIN’, then, when she asked if they could call me back later, I said:

“No! I googled your number. You’re a scammer. Last week you were trying this with Telstra, and this week Vodafone, but newsflash biatch - I’m not even WITH Vodafone!” 😂😂

She hung up.

Caller: Person claiming to be from Telstra

Said that I was able to receive a discount due to Covid 19.
Asked for date of birth and I declined and hung up.

Caller: bahan bhaad mein jao

I will say that no big companies will ever call you! always be sus on a call asking you any details, scamers are so good at their job. You should check out Lewis tech on YouTube, or Jim browning. tech support scams..

There's also no one time passwords that they send ever!

First time said she was from Telstra and had 40% discount for me. I said good bye. She called again and asked if I was the person who wanted to activate my account. I told her the money will be under her pillow when she wakes up and then said goodbye.

I didn't answer and if its Telstra as per the other comments here I am not a customer anyway......

its all a scam, too many indian ppl in India got nothing better to do

Advised they were calling from Telstra and they were giving out 40% off of my phone bill. They just needed my date of birth to authorise the 40%. At that point I was suspicious and I asked for more information about me that they should know and when I said give me my number it went really quiet and they eventually hung up.
