Apparently from tax office saying I am up for fraud and to call back. A Mr. Lee.

Had 2 calls from this number, checked with ATO and they assured me it's not an ATO number and is certainly a scam. Do not call back this number and file a scam report with ATO.

Yes got a call from this guy too. Last digit has been changed to 2. It was an automated message.

got the same message as stated above. I called them back they said that I had a case and that I should get a lawyer. then I had a bit of fun and said I actually worked for the taxation office. they hung up straight away haha

I called back and Mr. Lee answered with "Hello, Australian Tax Office". I told him I've reported his number to the police because it's quite obviously a scam.
He told me to "F*** off".

Just rang the number back and it said its not in service. These guys are such a bloody joke!!!

this guy called informing me that he was from the something Australian tax office, I said sorry where are you from, he responded by asking if I was fing deaf

geeee.. recorded scripts just like from Hollywood [agent, district court, tax fraud, ect...].

Just got the sae call from that number. Is there no way the ATO can block these people from scamming?

Had the same person - Alexander Lee - leaving a message, saying he is from ATO and telling me about the fraud and not to ignore this message, repeated his name and the number.
So glad this website exists, so we can check out the scammers.

Have a mentally unwell housemate @ home off work due to injury who is being harassed by this scammer, have had to convince her it is a scam - I've been luckily enough to intervene and stop two self harming episodes directly related to this 'Alexander Lee' ATO calls. These calls are f*cking with A PERSONS head - this is a person who is having a hard time first being off work due to injury and now growing anxiety and worsening the depression, helpless, hopeless, worthless, better off going feelings - DO YOU KNOW HOW HARD IT IS TO HAVE A GOOD PERSON FEELING AND ACTING LIKE THAT? I am writing this in the hope that someone related to these scamming operations reads it - and digest that your harassment causes pain to other people, you have no idea what is going on in their lives, your preying is disgusting and I do hold you personally responsible for pushing my housemate to the edge in trying times. I am going to hope you and your team are your own undoing and you get what you deserve. Have some respect for people and treat them as you would yourself. Your mind see's what you do behind the phone.
